yessss ep 25 was chef's kiss. ngl i was really pleasantly surprised by how much esther has improved -- always been her fan but never seen her deliver gut punchingly tearful lines like that before

Same haha I gave the drama a 10 rating since it really touched me with how well the leads' motivations were fleshed out (and the very very convincing acting during the Nanjing arc). it's a very memorable and immersive drama.

there was indeed supposed to be a bathtub "kissing" scene in the novel. i saw the same photo on XHS and read a related screenshot of the script in the comments (idk if it's real but it was pretty well written..) and that was where Jin Zhao says "I love you". maybe you saw the same thing lol
