The plot gave more details to HRY and her first disciple than how HRY and BJS first got tgt 😭

One thing I wish the drama did better, is building up how they fell in love.

We have so much backstory of their feud, but the way they got together in the beginning really fell flat for me, so it’s harder for me to buy into the current angst

if she took the lightning punishment over staying in the mortal world for 10 years (which she would’ve if given the choice), her son could’ve ascended and her first disciple wouldn’t have been killed. I get why it’s hard to forgive BJS, even if he did it with the best intentions in mind.

HRY telling Ling Er’s dad that he shouldn’t have taken away his daughter’s agency / decision making basically summed up why she’s still mad at BJS
