I definitely noticed that. He seems to be uncomfortable with intimate scenes. His performance was stronger at the start of the series and I’m now noticing that his acting has become strained now there are more and more intimate scenes these last few episodes. I’m sure given time he’ll be able to overcome this discomfort.

I think I know which one you are talking about and I had this same thought in the second episode and went to check the actor’s real age and was shocked he wasn’t as old as initially thought. I think it’s because he has a mature face with very strong bone structure. Anyways, I’ve decided to ignore it and enjoy the drama. ☺️

Ngl I’m thankful for any subs to any series so I’m not wishing them to stop but I do often wonder why these large sites don’t invest in admin staff who speak the big four languages from Asian dramas. If the whole motivation is to have more visitors to your site, then make it worthwhile.
I was so confused too because that scene ended with Chen Yi on top. It might just be the translation again and what he’s referring to (guilty about) is taking advantage of Chen Yi due to him being drunk.

With short term memory loss it’s difficult to make new memories because you forget them before they become long term (permanent) memories. This is why he has to write his address in a notebook because he’ll keep forgetting it. All his long term memories are intact.

This comment is spot on. After all these episodes I’ve come to realise that Yo is an unreliable narrator. The things that he says he’s upset with are not what’s upsetting him. It’s getting more and more obvious that we (the audience) don’t really know what Yo actually likes and dislikes. He’s miscommunicating with us like he is doing with Saga but it’s evident that Saga knows Yo a lot more than we think. So much is lost with the subtitles and there are context clues that us international viewers are missing altogether.

Have to agree with you 100%. I’ve enjoyed this series from the beginning but grew to love it more and more each episode. There was a scene a few episodes back where Saga got Yo to cancel a meet up with his fm friend that I thought could be interpreted as coercive control but that was the only time I felt it portrayed something toxic (unintentionally). Then the episodes after that provided more context into their relationship and I don’t view that scene that way anymore. Also I thought I’ve been interpreting the show really well thus far but I came across someone’s post on Tumblr, outlining just how well the writers use language, and body language (in the context of Japanese relationship nuances) and realised just how much of the show’s nuance had been lost on me due to my own lack of knowledge of the culture and the language barrier (subtitles don’t do the show enough justice). I’m now viewing the show in a new way and I’m loving it even more (if that’s even possible).
