I think we do understand that but see how that logic/rationale is wrong on so many levels. Nevermind the terrible execution of both plot and reasoning. The second half was a mess. The first half was beautiful. As others have said, did no one advise the writer to go about it a different way?

You’ve pinpointed everything wrong with the second half of the movie. So many directions they could have gone in and that was what they chose. It really makes you wonder about the views of the writer if that’s what they find acceptable.

I really wish they had stopped at the first half. The second half completely ruined it for me imo. Hoping it gets remade with massive changes to the second half or doing away with the second half all together.

What a travesty that the first half of this bl movie was ruined by whatever that second half was. If they had carried on in the same way as the first half I guarantee this movie would have been one of the all-time greats. I’m not even exaggerating. The first half was that good. I wish they had made the first half its own standalone movie. Please….if any bl writers are roaming the comments section…..please remake this but change the second half of the story to be the aftermath of them running away together or reuniting again as adults or another adult incarnation. BOTH of them as ADULTS.

THIS IS HOW IT’S DONE. 👏👏👏This is how you make a 10/10 drama. If any k-drama writers peruse MDL comments, PLEASE take note. This was stellar, magnificent, jaw dropping and any other adjectives you use to describe a Hollywood blockbuster movie. BRAVO 🙌 🎉

Same. The actors (most of them anyway) really did the best with what they could from this show. I’m looking forward to seeing them in future dramas.

This is the best review/summary I’ve seen of this show. It is my hope that this show receives bad reviews everywhere so that articles can be written about how bad the reviews are so that the writer and everyone in the industry can never be in doubt about just how bad the writer/this show is. And if there is a God, nothing this writer produces in the future will ever see the light of day. I hope no networks will touch him. I hope no investors or advertisers will fund his ideas. I hope no actors will dare tarnish their careers by working with him. There are far too many exceptional (heck, even unexceptional) writers who deserve to have their work shown over this dumpster fire of a mess we call a writer.

Still, I’m shocked by how forgiving a lot of the commenters are now the show is finished. Some are even saying it wasn’t that bad. 😱
Is it selective amnesia? Some form of Stockholm Syndrome? Or post drama high? The ratings should be mid 6 by now. 😂
I think I understand now how people like JH get away with evil deeds in real life, since there are so many people who are quick to forget what has been done for the sake of a ‘happy ending’.
Ain’t it funny how we have a higher threshold for forgiveness when it comes to good people who do one bad thing but find it easier to forgive bad people who do one good thing. 🤔

Someone said in the comments that watching this show was like a dream to escape from hard times. A more apt description is that this show WAS the hard times and real life was the dream we’d long to escape back to. 🤣😂😂😭😭

The comments are the MVP of this series. Dropped this show around episode 20-something but stuck around for the comments and they never disappoint. 💯 percent better writing. 😂

Ngl this would be a great title for a legal drama. “Legal Roommates - where they share a house and the law.” 😁

King the Land is such a good recommendation. They never break up despite all the odds. They have insane chemistry, plus it’s not too too heavy. It’s not a family drama though (even though there is drama with the family), it’s a romcom.

It’s around half a dozen episodes before they get back together I think. That’s around 4-6 episodes. I may be misremembering it (because the episodes drag) and it’s less episodes like CrissyDiva says.

There is a time jump around episode 30 something. Before this they were never officially together (just faked married) but had established they liked each other. Right before the time jump FL runs off for a year after everything comes out about the baby/their fake marriage. After the time jump she comes back with the baby born and a couple months old. There are about half a dozen episodes after that where the leads are dealing with everything else before they finally get back together again. Some more stupid conflict happens and ML’s mother is trying to split them up. This goes on for a few more episodes before the ML’s mother accepts their relationship. They get legally married (but no wedding) somewhere in the episode 40s. As of this episode they are still together.

I must stress though, their relationship is a VERY small part of this show. Like hardly any attention is given to its development - especially after the time jump so there won’t be any of the typical feels you get from main leads. As people have said in the comments they’re more like roommates or people cohabiting than a couple.
