The feeling this drama gives and the morally grey characters don’t leave much space for a happy ending here. An open ending is my best bet...

"Everyone"? Nah, just haters trying to ruin drama ratings, cause they have nothing else do in their life, so they get upset over nothing and try to make a controversy out of nothing. Generally, a very typical situation for cdrama world. Quite often such "controversies" are also intentional and being paid by somebody for whatever reason. There is even a term for this, Internet water army, lol.

The editing does feel a bit choppy at times, but otherwise it's really good.

I don't know why some people say that ML's acting is off. I feel like he's supposed to act this way; you're supposed to look at him and think he's behaving weirdly or unnaturally, that's the point. At least, that's my impression after watching the first two episodes.

I watched donghua, novel also was good... Drama adaptation though is probably gonna be heavily censored, cause there are moments....... that i don't think are gonna pass the censorship lol.

They both are extremely popular nowadays, have busy schedules. Also having them on a show probably costs a lot of money. So yeah, I won't be surprised if it's true.

It is still one of the most popular variety shows in China, so most likely yes, although according to rumors on Weibo, there will be changes in the cast.

Many people seem to be not able to differentiate fiction and reality, lol. Acting is a job, and very hard at that, not going on a picnic for fun.

I was somewhat skeptical at first, cause previous two series were meh, but so far the first 5 episodes are really good.

Ugh, the Red Moon Pact was just bad. As for Love in the Pavilion, the acting was great and the visuals were good, but the storyline was just average. So my expectations for this new one are very low.

A truly good story needs dedication and soul. The problem with the last two, they clearly had huge budgets and famous stars, but where was the soul... Nowhere. I seriously doubt this is going to be any good. We'll see, though. Wang Yi Xu as a producer gives me some hope.

The last time I checked, they confirmed that there will be a second season, and the actors' contracts have been signed. No specific dates have been mentioned though.

Now is the question. How long will it take for Ming Yi to realize that JBZ gave her GMD... Following cdrama logic, she will probably think that it's Situ Ling who saved her...

Well, Su Mu Yu is just like that. Has nothing to do with the actor. He is not supposed to have killer vibe. He is a good guy who got unlucky and basically was forced to become who he is now, and that's why he wants freedom. Even as an assassin, he only took jobs to eliminate villians, basically, and never harms innocent.
