No. There's a bit which comes close to it but no. Also there are no triangles. Minimal separation over stupid things. So really a story of two people that must be together but need to work through some other stuff first.

Then give the first few episodes a go. then decide if you want to continue when she's not a chicken 😁

Personally I didn't find them annoying. They will try to do both but their involvement is pretty minimal until the very end.

I generally try to find subs meant for translators. They would have extra info along the lines of "abc" used to be rank of a soldier or "XYZ" in this context means distinguished etc., it's not enough to know source language well but destination language as well. Yeah I guess it's a massive disadvantage for complicated storylines.

I don't think I'm the only one who subconsciously rephrases subtitles from what's written to something more meaningful so those nuances are not entirely lost. Unlike some other films I didn't think it was laden with play on words jokes. One of the reasons why I was so surprised to see that comment. But Fisherman joke needed extra input alright - couldn't be guessed.

Yeah. Initially I wasn't fond of the amount of screentime time their story got. But after brooding about it for quite a long time. This bit wouldn't have made sense. Pretty hardcore stuff alright.
