exactly. In ep 6, FL instructs her friend to add "locust tree flower" and "saffron flower". Saffron is a great spice for fish, I wouldn't mind to eat already saffroned fish from that water. Locust tree flowers are also edible (and good for digestion, fish would probably be thankful for it), what we know as "acacia honey" is actually a honey from flowers of pseudoacacia or honey robinia (another names for locust trees), the only problem is that all its varieties originate from North America, so they were completely unknown in Tang China
I think we can all agree the prettiest girl in this drama is the ML. If not for the Adam's apple, visible only when the camera takes his side profile, I'd mistake him for a girl myself.

I will, tomorrow. I didn't change anything only because someone can read this nonsensical dispute: I did rate in a wrong way, I didn't know rating episodes on "ongoing" section would result in this mess, that's a fact, I admit it. But if someone else reads this, it's better it stays like this for a day, than I'll change what I've done wrong

I don't feel embarassed at all. I've simply made my remark to @Fanchengchengkai's comment which implied the setting of this drama is during Taizong's era. It is not, the setting is supposed to be (roughly) in Tang (costumes, interiors etc. follow Tang-style) but if we refer to the persons and events of the drama - it is completely fictious. After that, you've started to harass me. I am actually glad you've noticed my rating so that another person in this discussion could explain me I was rating episodes in the wrong section, I'm not unwilling to learn from the others, sorry I've tought you'd appreciate learning from others as well. What you'll do with the block button is up to you.

First I'll TEACH you something - you should use the verb "to teach" if you intend to make someone learn something. A person learns after being taught. No need to teach me how to use a block button, thank you, just get off.

I've written a review on the Rise of Ning, giving 7 as overall mark (only rewatch value for me is 1, check it, it's there and check the date when I've written it), why would I rate the drama differently in star section? Now, thank you for the indication, I truly didn't know that when I've assigned "1" (for the ep in which Duanwu so incomprehensibly misunderstood that arrow) it will remain there forever. Very likely the same thing happened with the Rise of Ning, I've assigned "1" for certain ep I didn't like and later, when I've completed the drama, forgot to assign "7" in star section. I am not familiar with the tools on this platform, if I want to rate certain ep next time, I'll go to "episode guide".

So, now I've seen, I did rate the last ep 1, but I haven't rate the drama, btw. I've rated 9 some of the early eps. Good, a leasson to me: never ever rate eps in the future, but this wasn't the topic of this discussion. I'm not a hater, I've simply objected a comment which didn't state the fact. If you have smth to say about it, say it. If not, don't direct your rude witch hunt towards me, because I'll report you

I'm a fair watcher. I never rate any drama till I finish to watch all eps. In this drama, there were eps I've rated 9, but when I get bored, it's normal to rate the ep 1. Btw, how do you know my rating?

It isn't true. Taizong (Li Shimin) in Long Ballad (and in history) never had sons named Tan or Ying, or having the titles "prince of Tan" and "prince of Ying". Before talking nonsense, check the facts. The conflict between these two princes is totally fictious, as is the 99% of this drama and, although the production hired some experts to make the props more believable, it still remains... just another costume idol drama
Finally we have an interesting and quite original story... Characters feel realistic, dialogues are fine (although not always fluently translated), scenes are well organised and paced, too. It's strange to watch a C-drama I have practically nothing to complaint about. π

I've watched many more dramas than I've actually "report" here.
My 1 means 1, as well as 9
In this drama, there were eps I've rated 9, but when I get bored, it's normal to rate the ep 1.

But the storyline has been redundant for several episodes now, I'm terribly bored
