MDL really went: âYou didnât need those 7 episodes anywayâ đ
Yeah, I totally get what youâre saying, and youâre right â open endings do leave room for interpretation. For me personally though, it is a letdown to invest 40 episodes and get that emotionally attached, only to feel like my heart got gently but firmly stomped on at the end đ
I think for a lot of people, C-dramas are an escape from everyday bitterness, so a sad or open ending can hit harder than expected. That said, everyone experiences stories differently, and thatâs totally valid. There were also a few other reasons TUS didnât fully work for me, but at the end of the day it really does come down to personal preference.

I'm loving it a lot, it's great and yes addicting. The chemistry is lit, both leads are great ( although I'm biased since I love them both). The plot is interesting, both the game world and real world. I would definitely recommend it, but if you can wait on more episodes to air and slowly start it maybe it would be less stressful. Some people ( and by some I mean myself lmao) just don't do well with airing schedules. I'm a binger through and through.
Although she could have not predicted the exact governor's move, she could have guessed the collusion of the sister…
I understand why that interpretation didnât sit right with you, but I genuinely donât think her actions were driven by a desire to test or provoke LJLâs concern. Heâs been quite open about his feelings from the start, and if that were her intention, there would have been far safer ways to go about it. More importantly, that would run counter to her established character.
My reading is that both she and LJL are deliberately maneuvering to draw out the people operating behind the scenes. That said, I do agree that LJL likely didnât anticipate her ending up in prison, and in that sense her actions may have complicated matters for him , so I am concerned here as well.
For now, Iâm still placing my trust in the FL as a character; she hasnât let me down so far, which makes me inclined to believe thereâs more going on than what weâre being shown. The way both leads see through Yun Shuâs tactics (their expressions during the kneeling scene with grandma were quite telling and hilarious) reinforces that for me.
Iâm hoping this arc resolves decisively, because Iâm very ready for the story to move on to the capital plot.

Lol , I was enjoying him going off way too much đ you could tell RSB was low-key amused too because she saw how genuinely worried he was.
I get what youâre saying though. She couldâve at least suspected the sister and checked the warehouses more carefully, especially given the history. One could argue she knew about the evidence and was betting on LJL to clear her name and drag the governor and the traitor into the light like she said. But realistically, I donât think sheâd knowingly risk the tea or the plantation just to make a point. So yeah⊠that scolding was earned đ
Omg SAME, granny is rapidly climbing to the top of my most-hated listđ even if a final boss villain shows up later, sheâs the root of so much of this mess. The resentment and rivalry between the sisters didnât just appear out of thin air, it was carefully cultivated by her favoritism and narrow-mindedness. For someone running a whole tea-plantation dynasty, her worldview is shockingly small lolânobody can convince me otherwise.
Good news on the annoying cousin though: his family does come to get him. Sadly, he escapes a bit too easily for my tasteâI wanted proper consequencesâbut Iâm choosing to believe his family will deal with him accordingly đOne thing he did right tho is warn RSB about the note. And YES to the steward, heâs been acting wildly out of line way too many times. Iâm also pretty sure heâs the one who leaked the note about the 6th sis and her nanny(just not sure if he operated alone). Putting the sister your master loves most in danger just to eliminate a ârivalâ? Absolutely vile. I really hope he gets whatâs coming to him.
Fully agree on the sisters too. Their whole dynamic couldâve been so different if not for grandmaâs constant meddling and bias. The 2nd sisterâs stance changes a lot later on, and the 4thâloud and impulsive as she isânever gave me truly evil vibes either. Bratty? Yes. Irredeemable? Nah.
The blind sister though⊠whew. Sheâs definitely the most scheming, especially with whatâs been happening lately and what the previews hint at. Her main beef seems to be with grandma (canât even blame her for that), but sheâs still trouble with a capital T.
Alsoâslightly off to the sideâbut Iâm extremely suspicious of the monk dude, Mr. Yan. He doesnât scream evil, but he is not simple, and my trust in him is very thin right now đ
This drama really said âeveryone needs therapy,â and then doubled down.

Wow dang your watching schedule is packed đ
I dropped TUS as well early on cause I could smell the sad ending from a mile away đ
I am enjoying Love between lines a lot, although it's a different genre than Shine on me, the story, chemistry and visuals are great.
