Honestly, we are embarrassing ourselves at this point

Most of the credit goes to really tightly knit plot and amazing chemistry between the actors.

Liking someone and "seeing a future" with them are two different things. He didn't see a future with her and wanted to set her free...from her toxic family and the marriage. He totally didn't expect she would be interested in him. I think he moved away even further when he noticed that her mother was making her a pawn and desperately pushing her towards him...forcing her to consummate the marriage....and SHE SEEMED SOOO "NOT INTERESTED" HERSELF. I think that solidified his belief that she needed to be set free eventually...and that's why he didn't pursue her

I can't speak for other people...but I have personally made numerous dumb comments. I make at least ONE a month but of course, I grow.

So...many many years ago...he went to some show in korea and they asked him about dating ...how does he know the girl is interested in him and stuff like that. He said, if she wears somewhat sheer/see through clothes, he thinks they are interested in him and if they dress up really conservatively in turtlenecks...they aren't that interested in him.
Now, this was a careless comment which was obviously blurted out without much thinking.
Knowing how most idols and actors prefer to act like "pure virgins" .. this comment came off are super weird and a female immediately reacted and said...she wears turtlenecks all the time...and he said "that's why you're single"... he probably intended to turn it into a fun banter vibe but that did not sit well with knetz as well as with other international fans.
He was heavily criticised for those comments. I think they were right about pointing out that HE SHOULD PUT A LOT OF THOUGHT INTO WHAT HE SPEAKS because he is not just anyone but a public person.

Since then, he has been criticised constantly for many many years... and every time people rightly praise him for his acting skills..(that he has worked on for years), a lot of trollers come to the comments to say that he is A "TRASH HUMAN BEING" . Let me just say that he has a very clean record...far more clean that most highly worshipped idols

Nope! The best part of this drama is THE FACT THAT the plot ... ITS TIGHT KNIT. If it was 16 episodes, I am sure they would have some really boring episodes and I wouldn't wait for it like that

I haven't recharged netflix for more tha a year now. It will only happen when they have a binging option. Otherwise, I am good.

I swear... normal decent people go about their lives and stalkers haters and online harassers leave hateful comments even after 7-8 years over one comment. JeeZ

The characters that we see in kdramas, including his character in "when the phone rings" has made somewhat heartless...somewhat entitled...somewhat weird comments and that includes the female leads in many kdramas. We see them as complex characters who grow,learn and sometimes don't mean what they say. Yet, all of that WISDOM goes away 😒 when a comment is made by an actor that isn't politically correct but can also be interpreted as a totally consensual open relationship which involves physical attraction more than feelings. We also don't know what kind of chatter and gossip goes on behind the scenes of the shows that we don't know and he does.
Knowing how badly you are judged for NOT BEING PURE in South Korea and after rolling my eyes at 30 something men acting all "pure and innocent like teenagers" ...I actually found the actor's comments to be CARELESS and not appropriate for that kinda show...
However, I have yet to see a human being in my life who has not made a careless or tasteless comment that didn't fit the vibe in their life. That also includes me, a person who is typically diplomatic. So, I feel like the punishment for a person should be in proportion to their act. The fact that he has been hounded for that comment for over 10 years...definitely goes into the ARENA OF ONLINE HARASSMENT and tells more about trollers than him.
Also, as a actor, he's one of the best that korea has.

Wait...till ep 11 is released. Then, you can start watching it and end with everyone else

Yaaaaas 😭. Ya'll this actor is soo good. He nails every character. He must have worked extremely hard on his craft coz whatever role he plays, it seems like it was written for him

Nobody is "blessed" with acting skills. People work on it. Besides, I haven't found single person who hasn't made one bad comment in their lives. I won't call the person "trash" at all. That's going..too far!

I loved him in that. He's one of the best actors in kdrama industry. Has a good range.

So, people are saying its enjoyable. I am putting in on my list but I am a binge watcher...so I am not gonna torture myself with an ongoing drama
