I don't see anything wrong or incorrect about the statement that GMMTV would not make such a series (Wait how did you say it was phrased? Ah “GMMTV, that they could not do a good remake of ABO Desire„ - I am going to skip a whole lot of grab about interpretations of this sentence and I'm gonna go to the core:), Is they wouldn't make such a series, simply because long term see gmmTV series as lighthearted and oriented on a specific type of audience. It is not right, it is not wrong - it is if GMMTV were to remake this series, it would just look completely differently and it would have way more differently categorized scales for lighthearted humor. But GMMTV far from being the only one, So if you wanted to see remake with more explicitness from Thailand we would have to go to be on cloud or IDOLFACTORY i guess, So just the choice of GMMTV as representative for thai bl series just shows someone tried hard to hurt and does not have enough knowledge to throw real arguments into the argument.
Is will think that some thai BL fans want thai remake. face it or not in the last years the most explicit we have seen are some exceptions from jethanese some exceptions from Korea but like mainly and freedominantly in a normal standard series it's Thailand. I personally laugh LoveSea thai series, but I am still watching the Japanese version of it now and I loved it I don't think it's better than the Thailand version but I do think that considering how Japanese tends to do most of the boil genre series this is far above expectations and the explicitness there is just skyrocketing. I know it's rooted in the nature of the story itself and the series itself however it's still good have been transformed into something way more tamed and way more censored then it happens to be and I am so proud for Japanese version of this series. So I don't see the one version would be better than the other, I more put it into the context of what the country usually does and how it portrays a story that matters to many people. Sometimes in the new versions I love to remind myself of the old version or the original material and sometimes I love to see the twists and how one country makes it look like in comparison to the other. and sometimes it's just completely bad and sometimes it just lands. so I don't see any hurt in this being remade in other countries, and I don't feel like it would hurt the original. So in short I belong to the boy love genre fans who would laugh to see this being remade in Thai version but I don't insist on it. This version with these actors are already enough for me and I am very grateful to enrich my vocabulary with new actors whether they are completing you in the industry or where already running a successful career before their came to this project.
