I haven’t seen Scarlet Heart (Moon Lovers), but I know the ending. This drama’s ending is more bearable as the couple is together in the end.

It’s not my top recommendation among her (Moon Chae Won) dramas either. My top recommendation for her drama is Princess Man or Painter of rhe Wind (even if she’s supporting here). But a lot of people who are her fans liked her from that drama so I just mentioned it. Peace.

Yup, I'm hoping for awards of them both (and if possible Kim Ji Hoon too).

I personally feel this drama is quite underrated though. If you check out the music videos of this drama, the most number of views is about a bit more than 1 million views. Most popular dramas have at least 5 million or more views on their music videos. Adding my personal bias is that I feel like my favorite actress Moon Chae Won will not receive any award or recognition at all for this performance. I'm still hoping Lee Joon Gi will receive a baeksang nomination or evenwin(want the same for Chae Won too but I feel that she has a very strong competition from the leading lady of another 2020 drama popular in mydramalist).

okay, if that's how you find the drama. I cant force you. For me though, it is a great drama. From the beginning, it was described as melodrama-thriller, and they delivered it just fine for me. Maybe romance is just not your genre? (For me the romance is really great especially the actors delivered them pretty well).

I haven't watched this drama, but definitely planning to after it airs. I salute the whole cast for willingly refilming the whole drama. Just imagine, there are even children who had to reshoot scenes because of the original actor.

Maybe they'll reshoot the first 6 episodes after reshooting the future yet to be aired episodes.

Depends on you, but most people described the drama's romance as mature. It's not your typical drama. There's a lot of mystery to be uncovered about the characters.
There's a reason why drama's ratings are so high, give it at least until episode 5 or 6. Those two episodes are important.

there is romance, the romance is not a romcom type. more like mature and there is some melodrama too. The actors described the drama as 80% melodrama and 20% thriller. There's also mystery that unfolds as the drama progresses, the more it unfolds the more you'll understand the characters. you'll definitely love the romance more as you understand the characters more. there's a reason why many people love this drama.

not a romcom, watch the whole drama first.

I want her in Pre-Joseon sageuk drama. This year, my favorite child actors who are great in historical dramas (Kim So Hyun and Kim Yoo Jung) are back in sageuks, hope the same for MCW. Prefarably with Lee Joon Gi again (such a wasted opportunity if they don't act in historical drama together given they have proven fantastic chemistry and are also both individually shining in sageuks) but other male leads would be great too .Ji Chang Wook, Kim Nam Gil, Byun Yo Han, Yoo Ah In are my other good choice .

me too. It's been 23 years since his debut, and he hasn't been giving lead roles (except in few indie movies and one drama he did as a kid actor), while actors who debuted like 4-5 years ago are leads already. so not fair for him.

Queen Seon Deok is also really good.

All of them were in the same drama. Kim Soo Hyun plays the main king in Moon Embracing the Sun. Kim Yoo Jung and Kim So Hyun played the child versions of the two women competing for the king's heart.

I am actually moving on and just hoping for the future of the former couple (especially SJK for me can't wait for Arthdal Chronicles Season 2). I want people to move on as well. I just don't want romance in this drama, but if there is, then no problem. I also don't think it's right to ship SJK or SHK with anyone (my opinion). I saw on facebook though that JYB is compared to SHK (mostly by Filipinos like me who can't move on) that's why I mentioned she was compared.

I have no problems with shipping (especially when both actors are single). SJK and SHK are exceptions though, their marriage and divorce are really big news, shipping any of the two with future costars could possibly harm the future costar (from comparisons to the ex husband/wife to the most ridiculous assumption of some fans that the costars caused the divorce). I just hope we don't ship SJK and SHK to any future costars. For this drama, just ship the characters. Personally though, I don't want any romance in this drama for the sake of the leading actress (who will be compared to DOTS girl).
Regardless of Jeon Yeo Been's performance, I applaud her for starring with SJK, she knows that she will be compared to his ex wife but she doesn't care and instead just see this role as an opportunity for her (it's different for her from Kim Ji Won of Arthdal Chronicles because Kim Ji Won was at least acquainted to both songsongcouple or even Kim Tae Ri because Tae RI was already an acclaimed actress as well as being in a movie, not drama, with Song Joong Ki).

From what I understood, SJK character survived being stabbed. Somehow after, the doctor (his superior during his intern days) somehow helped him and he was able to study to be a doctor again. He, however had amnesia and forgot MCW character. However in the ending, he was showing her two wedding rings, suggesting he is starting to remember her.

add moon chae won. i know she's not as popular in recent years, but she's really pretty and talented
