Dramas moon chae won should have 1. Office Romance2. Nonna Romance 3. Melodrama with lee min ho4. Forbidden love…
Agree with everything except no. 3 (Sorry I’m just not a fan of Lee Min Ho). I want her to act with better actors. (Ex: Yoo Ah In, Lee Joon Gi, Jo In Sung, Kim Nam Gil)
You are my Best Actress! Though you are not nominated for the acting award you deserved so much, what matters…
She deserves so much. If I’m not wrong is Flower of Evil the only 9.1 rated kdrama in mydramalist where the female lead is not nominated anywhere (despite being the chemistry of the two leads being essential in the drama’s success)?
Things we know about the drama from a historical perspective: Hong Chun Gi was a woman who actually lived in the…
Sounds so much like Painter of the Wind. Trivia: It has the same director as this one and Kim Yoo Jung is also the childhood version of the female lead there.
Maybe you can try Hwang Ji Ni or Damo. Older historical dramas of hers but they are really good. I think Damo…
Yup. I understand. I really prefer serious historical dramas over serious romcoms. My historical dramas has to have some politics, some tragedy, strong female leads, and serious romance. I only like historical romcoms if they star my fave actors in them.
Maybe you can try Hwang Ji Ni or Damo. Older historical dramas of hers but they are really good. I think Damo only has 14 episodes . Hwang Ji Ni is in youtube complete with english subtitles.

Okay. (But maybe someday you could give her a chance, there’s also some people on mydramalist who use to dislike her a lot but love her acting here). Lee Joon Gi performance here is phenomenal though, watch at least for him. I understand if you would not watch though. Drama is described by the cast as 80% melo and 20% thriller. Respect your opinion.
Is this worth watching? I love LJG but im not fond of the FL so im hesitating a lot and also im kinda into non…
The female lead is extremely talented. Her name is Moon Chae Won. She has a strong sageuk image just like Lee Joon Gi. She was in 2011’s best drama The Princess’s Man (sageuk). Innocent Man and Good Doctor (the dramas most international fans know her in) should not be the ones people base her acting skills on. Lee Joon Gi himself praises her acting a lot. He recognizes her as an actress who can express her emotions really well. In this drama, her character is really strong and brave, just like her character in her 2011 drama. This is also her best acting aside from her 2011 drama.
Will watch this movie in some future for MCW (it's on my watchlist). Whatever her character will do here, she does not deserve the hate. Blame it on her character, not her.
The father son relationship here reminds me of Queen Seon Deok. The main character there also has an adoptive mom who she loves like her own and who would do anything for her as well.
Great martial arts actor. Despite this, I can't believe how well you portray the very different characters of Chilsuk in Queen Seon Deok and Gonghe in Iljimae. You are so scary and intimidating as Chilsuk but quite funny as Gonghe. You really have great chemistry with Seo Young Hee in Queen Seon Deok
I can’t believe our beloved Moon Chae Won didn’t make it?! Haysss! ?
She hasn’t made a popular kdrama since 2016 (except Flower of Evil), that’s why. She’s my favorite in this list aside from the two Kim former child actresses and Ha Ji Won. Another fave of mine, Moon Geun Young, is not even here.
Thanks for including Moon Chae Won, even if she’s not on the list. Thanks for including Painter of the Wind on her roles (such an underrated work of hers, I think not all her fans know about it even if it was the work that initially brought her to the spotlight). Note on Kim Yoo Jung: I know Grudge the Revolt of Gumiho (2010 drama) is not the best kdrama and not popular, but it is honestly Kim Yoo Jung’s first lead role and I feel it deserves a mention more than Iljimae or even Dong Yi. I watched that drama and she’s as good in it as in Moon Embracing the Sun (she had to act in love in both dramas, have to act death scenes and sad scenes, but it is only in Gumiho where she had to act like a villain on one scene and then act like a scary gumiho on another). I feel that drama deserves a mention at least among her filmography. On Kim So Hyun: her young lead role in 2012 kdrama I Miss You also deserves a mention, she did really well when she acted her torture scenes (it’s a work with Yeo Jin Goo too). On Ha Ji Won: I wish you included Hwang Ji Ni on her lead roles, it’s the role that gave her her first daesang.
