I feel so sad that when people talk about the child actors in this show, they only remember Kim Yoo Jung (young Han Ga In/Yeon Woo), Yeo Jin Goo (young Kim Soo Hyun/Hwon), and Kim So Hyun (young Kim Min Seo/Bo Kyung). Along with the three of them, actor Lee Tae Ri (young Jung Il Woo/Prince Yangmyung) is also a child version of the four main characters (in the poster). I wish more people remember him. The other child casts are good too, but Tae Ri specially deserves a mention with the trio since he is playing a young version of the four main leads. I feel so sad that he is extremely underrated. Especially sad when I see fanvids of the trio as adults without including Tae Ri. He's Prince Yangmyung after all. Trivia: The four of them have a unique connection as child actors since the two boys both played couples with the two girls in other dramas (almost all dramas happened before the trio got popular). In Iljimae (2008), Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Yoo Jung played the young versions of main lead couple Lee Joon Gi and Han Hyo Joo. In Grudge the Revolt of Gumiho/Gumiho Tale of the Fox Child (2010), Kim Yoo Jung is playing a lead role as a child actress while Lee Tae Ri is a supporting character who is her main love interest. They even have a kiss scene. In Thorn Birds (2011), Lee Tae Ri and Kim So Hyun played the young versions of main lead couple Joo Sang Wook and Han Hye Jin. In I Miss You/Missing You (2012), Yeo Jin Goo and Kim So Hyun played the young versions of main lead couple Park Yoo Chun and Yoon Eun Hye. Like Yoo Jung and Tae Ri in Gumiho, Jin Goo and So Hyun also have a kiss scene in their drama. So we can say that the actors who play the second leads in this drama actually kiss the actors who played the people they have a sided love for in other dramas.
Dont forget Lee Tae Ri. I know he’s wxtremely underrated but he’s also paet of the young version of the four…
Agree. But I will only agree if Lee Tae Ri is included in the lead cast. If it’s only the trio, I wouldn’t like it. I love the trio and definitely think they are talented (Kim Yoo Jung was the one I knew first since I discovered her in Painter of the Wind), but Lee Tae Ri doesnt deserve to be forgetten (he’s been underrated and forgotten compared to the trio, I feel so sad when I see fanvids that doesnt include him).
As much as I love Kim Soo Hyun so much, I keep watching only until episode 6. I'm wondering how good it would…
Dont forget Lee Tae Ri. I know he’s wxtremely underrated but he’s also paet of the young version of the four main leads juat like Yoo Jung, Jin Goo, & So Hyun.
Cant wait to see this drama. I’m watching because Kim Yoo Jung is really good in historical dramas. I also love both the historical dramaa that Jang Tae Yoo directed (Painter if the Wind, Tree with Deep Roots). Trivia: this drama is the reunion of Kim Yoo Jung and Jang Tae Yoo after Painter of the Wind. In both this drama and Painter, KYJ is a painter/artist.
I have seen flower of evil and the innocent man and do all her male leads get amnesia in the last episode??? lol
Watch The Princess’s Man. It’s another melodrama romance from her. It’s a historical drama but she’s so beautiful in hanbok. This was the drama that gave her the most awards and nominations. Not gonna spoil the ending here but the male lead will also get an injury in the end except it’s not amnesia.
*high five! But I dont include the brother JIW ın thıs or he would be the fırst and she wıll be second wıth…
When some actors have scandals, I just choose to put them off my mind so I can still somehow enjoy the dramas I like they are in, but will not be actively seeking their others dramas I haven’t seen. Fortunately, none of actors I like have been in serious scandals, though some of them (like Lee Tae Ri, and Kim Min Seo here plus Yoo Ah In and Song Joong Ki in Sungkyunkwan Scandal) have acted with actors with scandals. Just think of the actors as the character to enjoy. Like some actors are not good, but if I love their costars acting and the drama, I can still watch them
*high five! But I dont include the brother JIW ın thıs or he would be the fırst and she wıll be second wıth…
I have second lead syndrome in the drama too (for both second leads since I pity both characters). But for the second male lead, it has something more to do with the acting of his younger version. (actor Lee Tae Ri). To each of their own I guess :D
*high five! But I dont include the brother JIW ın thıs or he would be the fırst and she wıll be second wıth…
I respect your opinion, but I include him. I don't think the rest of the adult cast are as bad as the female adult lead, but their performances just don't have any impact on me compared to the younger leads (including both the adult male leads which are both popular actors, which is why I commented my comment above here in Min Seo's page instead of the drama page). I really loved Kim Min Seo's performance as Bokyung even though I still prefer the younger Kim So Hyun. The rest of the adults were just okay.
Okay but after seeing the cast I have a question. Kim Hyunsoo and Song Joongki are playing the leads younger versions…
https://youtu.be/2DyuqfJfcyY Short clip of Kim Hyun Soo and Song Joong Ki in Tree with Deep Roots episode 6. It’s in Korean, but at least this video tells you you just have to see episode 6 of the drama for their interaction.
Park Yoo Chun's character. Song Joong Ki is not even Yoo Chun's rival here, but Yoo Ah In. Song Joong Ki's character…
There is a possibility that he might have, but I don't think it's something serious. He didn't get jealous when Park Min Young and the male lead got together, unlike his other friend played by Yoo Ah In. From what I recall here, his character is a flirt, likes teasing girls. SJK not having a romance with a female is not important though, he and Yoo Ah In's character has a bromance, a lot of people actually enjoyed the show more because of their character's bromance. SJK's character here also has natural charm (he winks and has a lot of antics, you'll understand if you watch the show). I actually became a fan of him from watching this one. This drama was my long time impression of him, I never associated him with any woman until he was married.
Did this one had a Joong Ki romance I think it was a clip I saw in YouTube or was it another historical one with…
Song Joong Ki has a bromance with Yoo Ah In. He has some friendly moments with Park Min Young though. The only historical drama of his that has a romance with a female is Arthdal Chronicles (this is not Joseon drama but pre-historical/fantasy, he's the main lead here too). You might have seen a fanmade/edit video.
Who does park min young end up with? I don't wanna watch it if its not Song Joong Ki
Park Yoo Chun's character. Song Joong Ki is not even Yoo Chun's rival here, but Yoo Ah In. Song Joong Ki's character is kinda flirt here though, he has moments with Park Min Young. He also has a bromance with Yoo Ah In that is worth to watch. Yoo Ah In may not be so popular among kdrama fans, but that's because he focuses more on movies. Yoo Ah In's 2018 movie Burning was shortlisted for the Oscars (not nominated, but considered an Oscar nomination).
Excited because it's Kim Yoo Jung back in historical dramas (I decided I should no longer care who they cast as male lead actor, I often wish she and Lee Tae Ri aka young Yangmyung in Moon Embracing the Sun would reunite as OTP, just as most people want her to reunite with YJG). She's also again working with director Jang Tae Yoo, who happens to be the director of the very first drama I've seen her in (Painter of the Wind).
