The more I watch his works, the more I like him. Fantastic acting in all that I’ve seen him so far (Flower of Evil, Iljimae, King and the Clown, Gunman in Joseon, Arang and the Magistrate, currently watching Time Betwen Dog and Wolf). All his action scenes are great too.
Movie is not perfect but the cinematography is to be praised for. For me, it's one of the best aspects of the movie. I also find the movie's concept of where an ancestor is buried on having an impact to their living descendants' life and fortune It shouldn't have been a spoiler if you know the real history that Heungseon's son became king, but as I chose to ignore the real history, Heungseon being revealed to be a cunning man planning to take the opposite sides of Kim Jwa Geun and the royal king to fight for his own son to be king is quite a surprise. Another great plot twist that I didnt expect was the irony of Kim Jwa Geun being buried by his son. Here is a man who would do a lot of evil deeds, like burying his dead dad above royal tombs, for his family's fortune, only to have his own son kill him since son feels a greater fortune for him i achieved if his own living father is buried (dead) in the best place as well. I watched this since its the last Moon Chae Won historical work I haven't seen, and though her scenes are minimal, she's really good in playing her part as a gisaeng. Indeed, she also excelled in her heavy scenes, especially her death scene. But, of course, the best actors in this drama are Jo Seung Woo and Ji Sung. It's so great to see Baek Yoon Shik as a villain again here, I loved his special appearamce in Tree with Deep Roots. Kim Sung Kyun, Yoo Jae Myung and the rest of the cast are also great. Music is not memorable but fits well in the movie. Movie is an 8.5 for me.
Lee Joon Gi and IU have the same age gap and people even shipped them in real life. Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo…
ah okay. I'm just less concerned with this one compared to other big age gap couples since MCW is already 34 plus I've seen her act with someone the same age (though he's second lead) in a drama when she was only 24. I get your point though.

Ah okay, I understand, big age gap can sometimes look icky. I'm so sorry, I did not mean to say that you ship LJG and IU, I just meant to say that despite them having a large age gap, they must have had great chemistry in their drama which is why a lot of people shipped them.
If there's anyone I want to pair up with Song Joong Ki, it's Moon Geun Young! I noticed that recently that they would pair up top popular actors with less popular actresses. Moon Geun Young is very talented but the last decade has not been the best for her acting career that's why less people know her nowadays. Pairing up with Song Joong Ki will be beneficial to both since for him, he will be paired with an actress that is equally if not more talented plus actually senior to him acting-wise but she's younger than him making them look like a compatible couple. For her, pairing up with him will boost her popularity for new kdrama fans. Plus, it will be awkward to compare her with SJK ex wife (as I've noticed all his leading ladies are compared to her) since she started out as his ex wife's child version in Autumn in my Heart.
These actors are 11 years apart... I don't understand how it's possible to enjoy watch that.
Lee Joon Gi and IU have the same age gap and people even shipped them in real life. Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo are 12 years apart too and people liked their drama. I'm sure this couple will do their best to have chemistry as well. Her second lead guy in The Princess's Man (Song Jong Ho) is the same age as Kwon Sang Woo and she played with him when she was only 24.
I don't know how? Do you have to pay? I got sad, I saw some list saying Moon Chae Won is a bad actress. which…
what do you edit? or how do you pay for coins? I have other favorite actors but I'm gonna give all my coins to her since she's kind of underrated compared to the other ones. I only have 5 coins
If you're going to judge Moon Chae Won's acting, please judge her based on her best dramas (Princess's Man, Innocent Man, Flower of Evil) and not her dramas that did not do well. It's like judging some of today's popular actors on their earlier less popular works. (Saying this because I saw somewhere on this site that mentioned she's a bad actress just basing on her drama that did not do well, Goodbye mr Black)
Please everyone try to send flowers to moon chae won
I don't know how? Do you have to pay? I got sad, I saw some list saying Moon Chae Won is a bad actress. which is super unfair since they were judging her on her dramas that didn't do well.
Though this drama has elements of Sungkyunkwan Scandal + Moon Embracing the Sun + Love in the Moonlight + Painter of the Wind, I still hope this drama will have some unique elements, I'm ready for a surprise.
For example Moon ga young gained 5 million followers after doing her drama true beauty now this what you call…
I think Lee Joon Gi has many ig followers since it’s the same account he had since 2015. He is still quite underrated though, since in comparison Song Joong Ki just created his accoubt early this year and he now has more followers than Lee Joon Gi.
She was sick? I thought the only reason she was less popular 2016 and after is because her dramas were less acclaimed compared to her earlier ones. From what I knew, it was her friend Moon Geun Young who got sick. If she was sick, just hope she got a well rest.
Sassy Queen friend, didn’t realize at first you were the one who wrote the article. I have some long comments, I hope you don’t find them offensive, I just want to explain more of Moon Chae Won’s achievements. It’s because I always feel that her historical projects are the ones that deserve the most attention since they were the ones that gave her her major breakthroughs and awards.
I know Innocent Man is really popular, but she received more awards for Princess Man than Innocent Man, I wish people would watch Princess Man too (regardless of who her male lead is) since it’s technically her most awarded drama role.
