I know. It's just that MCW drama after this one is Good Doctor and she's also the female lead here, that's why I find your comment funny. Yup, I agree, Kang Maru would have been a good doctor if all the bad things didn't happen in the past. But at least in the ending, I feel like he was practicing as a doctor again.

Are they still doing season 2? I know they announced it before, but the longer they don't film the drama, the longer I feel they are not going to continue anymore (ex: the actress for child Doti is growing up, what to do with her character??)/

I had so much respect for him as an actor just because of that cameo role! He was able to shine even when he was acting with veteran actors with so much experience. He's a really great actor. It's saying a lot considering I actually find his adult version Han Suk Kyu to be playing Sejong better than him. Him and his adult version had a scene together and it's so exciting. Sadly though, not a lot of people know about this cameo role and so some people might find him overrated. I feel that his greatest performances (Tree with deep roots, Arthdal Chronicles) are on dramas that are not watched by a lot of people because of their "serious sageuk" genre (especiallly with very few kpop actors around unlike Moon Lovers) that's why they don't think he's one of the best.

Watch Sungkyunkwan Scandal too, if you haven’t (the show is extra enjoyable for me because of him, the main actress is okay but I couldn’t enjoy her performance as a crossdresser because I keep comparing her to Moon Geun Young’s performance as a crosdresser in a similar role). Also, his cameo as the younger version of the King in Tree with Deep Roots is outstanding (that’s how I really became a fan and really respectrd him as an actor because he manager to shine even when performing with veterans). He was in the first four episodes, plus a cameo in either episode 8 or 9.

Late reply, the bashings MCW received (along with the ridiculous dating rumors with her and SJK) is the reason why I don’t want her and SJK to work together again. I have no problems with all three actors (SJK, MCW, SJK ex wife), in fact I’m a fan of both SJK and MCW, it’s just that the bashings MCW received should mean she and SJK should never work again together. (If they would work again together though, it should be when both are LONG MARRIED to OTHER PEOPLE.

Check out Arthdal Chronicles (2019). I know its genre is unusual but SJK is really great on it.

Moon Chae Won works you should prioritize in watching (aside from Flower of Evil, her most recent one):
1. The Princess Man --> her most awarded drama work, she got more awards and nominations for this than any other (including nominations for awards in Montecarlo, France --> rare for kdrama actors back in 2011 to be nominated in awards outside Asia, also her only work to date where she was nominated for Baeksang, no APAN nominations since APAN didn't exist during Princess Man era).
2. War of the Arrows --> her most awarded movie work (she got the most prestigious awards of Korea from this movie like Grand Bell and Blue Dragon Awards).
3. Painter of the Wind --> I know it's only a supporting role but this role helped her made history in Korea by winning first female-female couple (much worth noting since she's just a supporting role yet managed to win best couple with main female lead rather than female lead with her male lead), also the only other role aside from Princess Man that nominated her to Baeksang Awards.
4. Innocent Man/Good Doctor --> interchangeable, she received some awards for these (though not as prestigious as the dramas and movie above). Good Doctor arguably has the better plot but I personally feel she had a more difficult role to portray and thus more impressive in Innocent Man. These two are popular works of hers watched by many, but please, the works above (numbers 1-3) are the must watch works of MCW.
5. Love Forecast --> romcom, not her genre, but she did win an award here
6. Feng Shui --> she managed to create an impression with the viewers on this role, especially it's the first role where she wore hanbok after the 3 acclaimed performances as I mentioned above.

Special Mention - Criminal Minds --> her first work with Lee Joon Gi

i don't have sources right now, but it's legit that it's coming to netflix on some place like Philippines (my country), Indonesia. Thailand, and maybe Singapore

that's the genre she's really good at though. In Korea, Painter of the Wind and Princess Man along with movie War of the Arrows is something she's really recognized in.

I hope people who will watch this drama due to Kim Seon Ho's popularity will also discover and come to like Moon Geun Young here. She deserves a lot of popularity and she's so talented. After that, watch her leading role masteriece Painter of the Wind, she won the highest award in SBS 2008 for that.

what the heck, I just discovered him recently, and I think he's one of the last Korean actors who deserve this comment (supporting actor). The man can do everything. The actor acts really well and always makes a great impression on the viewers. His singing, dancing, and martial arts skills are just bonuses to his great acting (because we evaluate actors on their acting skills alone) but they are definitely big pluses for him (especially martial arts which is required for sageuk genre, a genre that spreads korean historical culture).

Yup, those asking for season 2 are super annoying, especially when Lee Joon Gi is promoting another drama

Completely for me at least, especially considering the awards they got. The actors did their part but i don't think the acting is fantastic enough to the point that the lead actress got daesang in baeksang awards for her performance in it. I got bashed on twitter for mentioning her winning an award for her performance in this drama is overrated for me. When I watched the drama, the best actor for me was the one who played the villain, the brother of the second lead guy. Just my opinion, no hate intended.

Strongly agree with the first two dramas mentioned. It irks me that those were the ones that introduced most people to kdramas when there's a lot of good dramas that were airing around the time those two dramas aired.
Strongly disagree at least on the Princess Man. The dramas was very well acted, the leads have great chemistry, the story of how desire for power can destroy a lot is conveyed well for me.

I dont want them to divide it into parts anymore, if possible, they should film and finish the whole story and filming process (of all seasons) so I can finish watching everything.

She's really good in all her acting anywhere, including Innocent Man. I just felt that Innocent Man a bit overhyped among her early 2010s dramas when this one is obviously the better drama and chemistry of hers (less people watched this back then because it's a sageuk). Not to mention I feel that her role in Innocent Man is smaller (what I mean is she share almost equal status with another leading lady there while SJK is sole male lead), while in this one the lead couple have almost equal weight. Moon Chae Won is really good in all her dramas though. She has been a chemistry queen since her supporting role in Painter of the Wind (she also won best couple there with the female lead). But for me, her best acting is either this one or Flower of Evil. Her best chemistry with partners is in both dramas as well for me, (Painter is third).
