I don't understand the criticisms against the female lead in the recent comments. She's better than most male leads in popular dramas.

Jang Ok Jung Live in Love 2013 drama has a female lead that is a fashion designer (though she lives in Joseon era).

I want to see more historical scenes to be honest. But I'm really enjoying the whole show

ooh, i remember the ending of rooftop prince was that the prince had to go back in joseon but his modern dopelgangger version is the one that married the female lead. bittersweet ending since the female lead's joseon version was dead already thus joseon prince has to remain alone. wonder if the same will happen here? with yeon woo having to go back to joseon but tae ha will marry yeon woo's modern reincarnation. yeon woo will return lonely as a widow in joseon?

Period sageuk dramas are what makes kdramas unique and special. You can see fantasy shows everywhere but only in kdramas do you see Joseon and historical Korea plus hanboks.

I’m watching My Demon for Kim Yoo Jung but I’m liking Park’s Marriage Contract better.

honestly the introduction of the older lady ceo and her family reminded me of reborn rich.

it's nice to see the little girl who played young Deok Im in Red Sleeve aslso playing young Yeon Woo here. she's great as young version of Lee Se Young characters.

How restricting was Joseon society for women back then. I’d imagine a lot of women during that time would have had sreams as well but most never got the chance to fulfill them because as women their obligation is to marry.

I’m liking the first episode. Hope it continues doing well. Wish there are more Joseon scenes in the drama though. I remember Rooftop Prince only have the first and last episode with Joseon scenes

then why bother commenting?

People know him as Kim Sabu but I know him as King Sejong from Tree with Deep Roots, such an amazing performance, he should have won best actor in baeksang 2012

Being a foreigner, I'm not sure if Goguryeo is Chinese or Korean history. Being a Filipino however, with China claiming many islands near our waters but way beyond their borders, I'm not sure if I'll automatically believe Chinese claims on history either. Let's just leave this as a drama and not make this more political.

I mean nowadays at least outside South Korea. Newer kdrama fans wouldn't automatically know her compared to say Song Hye Kyo or Son Ye Jin. Quite saddening as she's actually my favorite of the early hallyu actresses. Wish she havbe new projects that would return her to her career heyday.

where did you watch it?

Where to find this drama with subs
