they better to wait for original cast to finish filming their projects cause thats the reason joongki and jiwon…
I care so much for this drama rather than other SJK projects (though I understand him) why did this have to happen. I also wish new drama with same writers for ljg
There's a part of me that wished they created new characters for Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung, this story will focus on them. And then season 3 Joong Ki and Ji Won (Eunseom and Tanya) will be back. Can you imagine all four of them acting together? I just rather this than cast exchange though I know LJG and SSK will do well.
same same same, though I like SJK in those dramas. The heck with all this irony. I discovered Lee Joon Gi and loved him in Flower of Evil and I think this Arthdal should be the hyped drama of Song Joong Ki instead of Vincenzo and DOTS, then this happened.
My emotions ranging from crying to laughing to excitement to depression. So sad for Song Joong ki and Kim Ji Won not returning. Among all their future projects this was the thing I was most excited about. At the same time extremely curious how Lee Joon Gi will play the twins as he's a really good actor and more veteran than Song Joong Ki, but still sad for him why isn't he getting better drama offers after his phenomenal Flower of Evil perfornmance? Curious of Shin Se Kyung too as she did dramas with Arthdal writers before, but then Kim Ji Won is still my Tanya.
I dont know how to feel about the cast change. I am sad because I consider this as the best role of SJK and KJW, I'm very sad that this drama is extremely underrated. But at the same time, because i really wanted to know what will happen for the ending I'm just glad they're continuing the drama. And please don't question both Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung acting. Lee Joon Gi will surely rock the role, he already did not just a twin, but 3 person all played by himself scene (see Scholar Walks at Night ep 17 for that). I discovered him after Flower of Evil (though I already knew him and watched his iljimae clips before) and watched many of his works after. I understand some may not like Shin Se Kyung acting, but I like her in the dramas by these writers. These writers did Queen Seon Deok, Tree with Deep Roots, 6 Flying Dragons and she was quite good in those. I am sad/excited/disappointed/happy/nervous at the same time.
I feel like recency bias is strong with MDL ratings. Many older dramas are rated lower than they deserved.
Yup. Painter of the Wind at 7 something rating for example is too low. And this drama for example is too good. I love the leads chemistry, I love howbthe mystery unfold in the story. I love the execution.
If we're talking about the drama's plot and acting (controversy aside), yes it is. Joo Sang Wook is really good…
Ur welcome. This also doesn't have the martial arts in 6fd, but I think if you can bear the politics in 6fd, you can also with here. I watched it despite the controversy because the actors have nothing to do with it. Trivia: Kim Youngchul (actor for Lee Seong Gye) is really an expert in this time period (early Joseon). This is his second time playing Lee Seong Gye (first was in My Country which I didnt watch). He also played Lee Bang Won twice in his career in Great King Sejong and Jang Yong Shil (planning to watch the latter). In addition he also played the grandson of Lee Bang Won, King Sejo/Grand Prince Suyang in The Princess's Man (this was his other sageuk I watched already before).
I didn't like this drama. I don't understand its score.
it was popular because it was one of the first trendy historical dramas. the male lead was also popular when this drama aired (he was part of popular boy group TVXQ/JYJ)
Is the drama good ? I know about the controversy but I want an unbiased opinion about it .. Thank you
If we're talking about the drama's plot and acting (controversy aside), yes it is. Joo Sang Wook is really good in acting (I personally thought he should have gotten a baeksang nomination this year). And it's quite different from 6 Flying Dragons since there is more episodes dedicated to Lee Bang Won as a king. Most of 6 Flying Dragons focused on the dynamic that is Lee Bang Won vs Jeong Do Jeon plus some fictional elements to make the story more interesting. Meanwhile Lee Bang Won's wife plays a more important role here.
I am sad/excited/disappointed/happy/nervous at the same time.
