It hasn't been announced, afaik. I saw a RUMOR that he may be doing a movie called Deafening.
:( Again? I thought he wishes to avoid the same roles again and again, why a police drama again? BTW that would be another modern chinese drama, don't get me wrong but the restrictive chinese system is absolutely not the cup of the good tea at the west and makes the dramas boring. Luckily we still live in a different world here (heading towards that direction just too fast), but still it unfolds I rather would watch him in a costume drama.

"...which is by same author of the double drama" - that would have potential, please, please.... SOKP was also a female centric drama but didn't prevent ZLH to get his best role so far to shine in it.

He probably would be great but to be honest Ji Sung was also great, outstanding in that, and his chemistry with Hwang Jung Eum was so good that I couldn't believe they were not a couple in real life. especially that they had another drama together, similarly good chemistry and a really good drama, if you haven't seen, don't miss it: Secret.
(If you like that type of stories, book is Daniel Keyes: The Fifth Sally and he wrote a couple of more similar ones.)

Again, different taste, our personal lives determines what we need to live through / replace emotionally and what we don't need, find boring. Also time is limited, as chinese dramas are rather long, I have to choose carefully and wish to choose those ones which helps me get through the days like flying away in mind for a couple of hours.
No offense, there is not so handsome or talented guy in this world who could entertain me if the script, character, etc is boring (to my taste) or the drama is dragged or one of the actor / actress is annyoing till the level I can't live 'in the drama'.

Watch how many cry back Xiang Liu! A bunch of people. How many cry back Yuan Mo? Or the voice guy? We need heros to dream. :)
Also personal that I don't like modern chinese dramas AT ALL, too restrictive content because of it their chatting is boring as they couldn't mention / discuss a bunch of things. I see propaganda in every 'corner', thank you but no.

What I sorry that they didn't let him sing in LYF, I watched the videos where he sang and was perfect, Yang Zi also.

Don't take it personal offense please, we are all different and as I wrote in another comment, I am too old for that type of boring (to me), fluffy day-dreaming and was different even when I was young. I mean I would have found that drama boring even back then.

I highly appreciate the rest of your comment, thank you, you said good stuff. As the written drama, I just realized while reading it that I really really didn't like Xiao Liu personality, she is a passive agressive type ('I am heartless with everyone and most heartless with myself' - lol what's the point) and if she wouldn't have been, she could have ended with Xiang Liu ('who would you like to spend your life with the most?' - this question makes no sense if I am not interested desperatelly in the answer). Anyway, probably the translation is also a problem, it is not the first drama I tried ro read and didn't like, felt similarly when reading SOKP (I realized that the ML was a sado type which is repulsive, the drama version made it milder) and also felt that the drama (language, to express things) was poor.

I saw STK, I found him good in that role, too but didn't remember him later, didn't even recognized that XL and CP was played by the same actor. He didn't 'stayed with me', XL' character did. Girls love stong, smart, able-to-solve, able-to-save type heros or at least I love them. :) Personal weak point probably. :)

Yes, he has a very nice voice, deep and mesmerizing. However pls forgive me, it is probably the age gap, but I am a bit too old to watch fluffy stuff just for a handsome (another handsome as there are many) boy. If I want to know what their life would be after 20+ years marrige, I don't watch dramas just look around in my own life. Some people like me watches these dramas beause of boredom and to run away from the everyday life, age of course determines that what you need or find boring. I prefer dramas, with intelligent plots if possible and strong / matured / complex emotions but 30 hours of mostly daydreaming like the love of a mentally 14 years old girl is not for me. Did they speak about anything else but food and songs at all? I mean in real life there are many topics to discuss politics, science, but somehow only costume dramas could (allowed?) to do that.
Apart from the Secrets of the Three Kingdoms (he was also great in that but I suffered a bit because of the humiliating behaviour to help him survive and win) he didn't appear in other strong costume dramas, not really, Go East was rather a comedy and I couldn't feel anything, not even their romance due to the annoying FL. That drama best part was the sarcasm of how corrupt officials can be back then and now or how religions can be used to fool people (dropped around that part).
I think actors and actresses usually - if lucky - has a role where they can really shine and fits them to best. Like - if you saw - Yoo Yeon Seok in Mr Sunshine or Zhang Ling He in Story of the Kunning Palace or Timmy Xu in City of Streamer, true for Jing Tian, too (best role of her so far). Because of it I see no harm if they would accept similar roles to make another sparkling drama which stays with the watchers for months, to shine big again. He definitely has the potentional to carry something more serious and outstanding role and shine in it just how he shined as Xiang Liu. I think after an age he will lost the chance of this type of roles, so I really hope to see him again before that happens.

Tan Jianci is not an actor he is an ARTIST!
True. He acts very well but the masterpiece was the character of Xiang Liu. Because of his dancer background he could put force into his movement, watch his hands, such elegant movements projecting emotions and strenght perfectly, recognisable from latin dance where they express emotions with their bodies / movements. Was an absolute hit, no one could have played XL as well as he did. He carried that drama. I tried to read the novel but gave up, felt so bored around the 'you are a princess' part with no XL around and didn't like the personality of Xiao Liu, was worse than it was in the drama, fox was a puppy and nothing more but a cute but bored-me-to-death puppy. Or the translation was poor, not able to give back the original Chinese (meaning)?
I so hope I can see TJC in a custom drama again where he is some kind of super-hero / demon / super clever with strength, whatever and absoltuely grey but a disney-like good boy / bad boy. He got me hooked. Since then whatever I tried to watch with him, I ended up bored despite of his super good acting skill. Go East, didn't like the female lead, was irritating and while TJC is good in funny situations, the elegant 'super-man' role with romance / flirting involved fits him better. Under the Skin is not my cup of tea but I'll try again when in the mood. Love my Voice was super-boring, maybe worked for someone around 14 but I doubt considering a 14 yrs old with a healthy level of brain and day-dreaming.
Please find a role similar to XL's or 'palace-hero-with-brain' in an INTELLIGENT drama if you can. Still hooked to Lost you Forever, don't know why, apart from XL, while the actors perfomance were great (saved the poor novel), XL / FFB carried that show and made it unforgettable. Thank you!

Its not your cup of tea then
If you couldn't stand just one episode, means you didn't even give the chance to the actors / actresses / drama to unfold. LYF the seasons belonged together, while the beginning had some light hearted moments the second part didn't and was a bit dragged, agreed.
I am not a professional to tell exactly what was wrong with this show, I just couldn't care about the characters, I felt it childish, exaggerated, poor acting (or poorly written characters where even acting can't help), a jumps in the story-line, lack of charisma, to me till that part I saw only Li Lun was the only one with charisma enough to make his character interesting. The OST is bad, especially that rap or whatever part, the dancing at the end also bad and unsuitable, the young healer is unbelievable and annoying, the zombie-like part is "let's go with the fashion, put some make no sense z-s into it", when their stories start to unfold it again, just makes no sense. I can kill people just to live on their energy (mondern brainwashing on demons called in 'Loosh collecting' in the western world, justifying killing and cruelty), it is propaganda in disguise what the next generation can and should tolerate sold on the back of eye candy (probably popular?) guys. Time to make one with them about the moon landing or a worldwide pandemic. :)

Then I am a bit better than you as having more patiente, I never gave up chinese dramas only based on one episode or less, I gave the chance to them to unfold. I dropped this at the middle of the 6th when I saw that the story was inconsistent but full with eye-candy guys (idols as it tured out) who are not good enough actors yet to carry the show and to make me care about their story/fate. My problem is the wasted time based on the scores only, absolutely annoying, comment written because of frustration.
It has a similar vibe to the Korean version of Scarlett Heart, the Chinese was good, the Korean was not, it was childish, exaggerated, many plot holes, but were full with dancing idols and modern stuff, too. They thought that that only could carry the show and the script and the rest were not important. I hope this won't be the trend in future, it is harder and harder to find good dramas.

Depends on your taste, high scores and I didn't like that either. There was no chemistry between the main lead couple, there was more between the second lead couple. Characters were poorly written without real depth, in many points the story just made no sense to me even ZLH, the main lead, couldn't save that show. I dropped this one because I couldn't feel with the characters. Their fortune, future, emotions couldn't touch me just how they couldn't in the My Journey to you. On my part is annoying because of wasted time, invested because of the high scores I believed. However I would say the second ML in this show was better in MJTY. I managed to finish MJTY and didn't this one.

True. I really liked Ashes of Love, I was ok with Blue Whisper, was in love with Lost You Forever, I don't know what's wrong, I just find it boring, none of the characters / actors are charismatic enough to carry the show. Sorry and thanks. Just the big hype, with this rating I expected something really good.

I am at eposide 5 and sorry, don't understand the hype. Will it be any better later? Lots of eye candy actors and actresses, the healer boy is annoying to me, the story is a bit hard to follow. Will there be any real romance? Not interested in bromance, sorry. The vision is great, costumes and so but apart from that I am not hooked. All looks just so ridiculously young, almost no matured cast, was the teenager aged audience the target only? Will there be any depth? Intelligent conversations, intelligent solutions? Thinking on dropping.

Overflowing chemistry? Where? Maybe with ZLH, that WAS a chemistry. To me he was weak even in the Double. He is handsome but there is something in him that I have to yawn whenever he is onscreen. Maybe just my preferences. He is good actor but somehow he is not lead -material, he is great in supporting roles but again, if he is the lead, I found the drama rather boring even if it is a good one otherwise.

Not so happy. The guy is a good actor and handsome but somehow also boring (to me at least), he is not hot and doesn't have charisma. Bai Liu was great with ZLH in the Kunning Palace and also had good chemistry with the other guy she played with in the Legends. I would say, good pairing is the most important if the drama has romance. If the chemistry is poor, it can kill even the best dramas.
