I dropped it, just before the end I just felt fed up. Without so much exaggeration it could have been a really good drama but I lost interest because of the too late (unnatural these people had no hormones?) blooming romance, the madness of the SML, the unreal emperor and so on. Shame. The politics part was somehow weak. I mean who were allowed to go into the court room with swords? Or you are a beloved class mate in mask but still looking into each other eyes, and listening each other vioces and you can't recognize the person without the mask?

I think the romance was always there, lurking in the dark, as in the previous life FL wrongly thought that her death was due to Xie Wei, she didn't dare to love him but was frightened, while the air was slizzing whenever these 2 were together. Also FL had a great amount of trust in XW, he was the only one she dared to be completely honest with and to rely on in hard situation. She gradually started to trust in him, respect him and like him, she just didn't realized it, hence the forced kiss (to awaken her to her true feelings) was necessary. They were match in heaven by personalities.

I would say it is rather a serious drama, the politics part is pretty well written and that story leads the whole drama. It's like dramas used to were back then.

I didn't like Till the End of the Moon, Bai Lu was absolutely great in this, especially if someone read the novel, she was spot on.

For me it was ok in this way. It was more realistic than it would have been with clearly romance sceens, as the story itself, the politics and family' motivations part was very well written, I enjoyed it a lot without explicit romance sceens like kissing and so on at the beginning. There are too many brainless enough romance dramas to choose if one prefers those one.
I read the novel almost till the end and I am happy they changed things here and there because in the novel, even around the end, FL gives herself to ML because of feeling sorry for him rather than wanting him or really loving him. Also in the novel Xie Wei is utterly sadistic towards her.

I loved all of them, even the villains and grey characters were very good. I loved the emperor, his mother, the villain family, the princess, the school mates, their interactions and motives - in the land of Chinese dramas it was a masterpiece, I'll never forget - sadly.

Yes. But it had its necessary part in the story and was well written and acted.

I rewatched this I don't know how many times, such a rare thing to find a drama which is intelligent enough, not full with plot-holes, all of the characters / actors were good choices for the role, there was no boring part maybe except only one with the mother before FL leaves to save the princess, that's a huge for such long drama. I enjoyed so much even the supporting casts and their parts. They were all so good, so believable in their thoughts and actions.

I hope I am wrong but the ML and the screenwriter are fishy. If I recall well this actor was in Moonlight Mystic and he was too soft for that role, he was like the "nice guy next door" or "supporting brother", he didn't left an impression to remember, not good for hard / demonic /attractive etc roles. I still don't understand the high score given to that drama, for me it was a big disappointment - I usually love the director' work and always waiting for a new one. Only SMLs saved MM for me not to drop but I wouldn't watch it again (while I re-watch some works of the director).

The other is the screenwriter, Love's Rebellion was utterly childish, boring, even the - otherwise very good - leads coudn't save it.

He has a strong aura, he reminds me to Den Lung I still dearly miss since Ashes of Love, when he is on-screen everone else looks greyish compared to him. He even managed to make Zang Ling He (hope I wrote the name right), sook greyish which is really something (My Journey to You). I remembered him from that series and was happy to see him again as ML. Another actor whom works worth to follow.

This drama saved me, so happy I gave it a chance and watched it. This year the dramas were so poor, poor script, poor acting, poor everything, this one, while was not perfect, still was very enjoyable. I remembered the ML as 2nd ML from My Journey to You and I remembered he had a stronger influence on me than the ML, maybe because of their characters but I usually don't remember to actors just after one drama but just after a very good one (Lost You Forever, Story of the Kunning Palace). While I usually don't fancy female general c dramas, c girls are tiny and skinny, a sort of beautiful doll-like creatures, but this makes them weird in big fighter / general scenes, the actress was great to make me believe she was a general depsite of her appereance. However the girl with that extremly oversized mace weapon almost killed the show but luckily the leads were great. I also really liked the dark socerer (the actor), he is not young, not handsome but an absolute actor genius, I loved him in The Royal Princess and also in Go East. The leads and him saved the show, despite I would have appreciated a bit more politics and sophisticated (like in the Story of Kunning Palace), where the romance was bit of a secondary (too much sometimes like when you eat too much sweet things and don't want another candy for a while), but all in one I liked this drama, thank you for the staff participating and made it a likeable tale.

He definitely has, suprisingly he is not so good to bring new materials, he loved Xiang Liu till the level or releasing new materials, but based on these,, he is lack of being creative, no problem at all! He is excellent to form any characters, literally any.
