What story? There was a story at all for people above 100IQ? I guess not.

Then nothing left for us for normal people with normal taste, enjoy conditioning towards an absolutely unnatural, cruel world where you are just a prey, but you'll forget it while your phone messing with your happy-hormone-level, a nice tool for slave.

China' movies tries to fight with Hollywood, as Hollywood was to sick to my taste I turned toward Chinese but as it - while deeply disguised - similarly conditioning and brain washing, I feel like womiting. Sadisctic, cruel, unnatural - all of going with a conditioning agenda. I am not blind but you are.

All in one, I liked the drama condidering the possible choices to watch in 2025, but again I don't understand the casting, possible restrictions? which basically kills or almost kills even better dramas. Age gaps are one thing in personal (real) lives where we are just common people having a common life (work, family, etc) but it is a very different thing when they try to make me believe that a young and girlish looking guy with too much make-up can have such military background and can be a love interest for a similarly strong but older woman. I love the director and usually love his works but Moonlight Mystic was killed by the casting decision (ML was too soft to be a hellish demon king), and for me only the second couple saved it. Here I struggled to carry on due to the ML appereance to "live in the tale and believe it" and it happens just so often. What is wrong with casting a MLs who has the features (age, appereance) to be believable in the role? The guy is good as an actor, but not with this FL and this background.
The other thing which bothers me the trend of cruelty, they try to explain it as "but but they were enemies" but what they teach to the young generation that men torturing women is absoltuely ok. It is not. And no way that any woman can forget such torture (even if it was in the name of being enemies) and can fall in love with the torturer. People who were victims of real life crimes and torture know this very well. A repulsive / fear feeling will linger forever.

Mainly thanks to the many actors of Story of Kunning Palace, so many were re-casted here and even if they have weaker plot, like much weaker dialogues, less refined personalitites, they were still good to carry the drama. The guy (here the enemy' emperor) wrote history with his acting, wow, from now on I shall follow his works. The plot and dialogues were much weaker to me than they were in SoKP, these actors saved the drama.

My thoughts at the beginning, exactly. Will be better, due to his actions, he will be a bit more believably HE. :) The other thing what bothered me is the real life age gap, ML doesn't even look to be 29 and while FL is very beautiful, she looks significantly older than him. Minor but when I try to believe the love-story these things (a man who looks being half a woman and too young to have such strong military / power background) were bothering. I kept myself rewatch scenes from the Wolf where I really believed these two loved each other (ML and FL) and where the ML looked to be a much stronger and charismatic ML. But again, around the half of the story I got familiar with the guy, he was not bad and would have been better with less make-up.

Li Qin was phenomenal in the Wolf, so far for me that was her best acting, however I usually liked whatever I watched with her, only boring plots could ruin it. Doesn't mean this one, this was decent enough. It took me sometime to get familiar with ML (too girlish face, too much make-up) but around the middle of the drama I managed to accept him as a "strong man" and "love interest". However the Wolf' ML was more charismatic playing a pair with Li Qin. It's a shame they cut out so many scenes messing with the plot, still a masterpiece to me. But yes, considering the dramas in this year, this was a decent enough one I didn't drop.

No, it's not just you. :) No matter how bad guy was the emperor, he really loved her and was good to her, after being pregnant with his child she should have stayed, period. Leaving him felt such a betrayal, especially that she had a strong influence on him, together they had a chance to rule well.

I also recognised him in My Journey To You, for me he made a deeper impression than the ML - who otherwise is my other favorite. Excellent actor and charismatic. There are many hansome guys in Chinese dramas but also many coudn't leave and impression to remember, he can.

I stated to read Zhu Yu (Chasing Jade) upcoming drama of him, it's a similar character and politics heavy drama, the novel is rather good so far. Little spoiler, I hope they will include the falcon's scenes. Hiarious.

I miss him so much, Xiang Liu, he is a talented actor and a magnet. Without him I am not sure I would even finished that drama with an emocianelly crippled author's nightmare of - I don't want to know, i have my own?

At first I found difficult to accept the male lead, too much make-up, too childish and feminin look but I must admit, as the story fold as let scace to get familiar with him he is a bit more believable and mainly compared to the Moonlight Mystic' ML. A very enjoyable story if you can pretend closed eyes for the agenda of more (non-sense) extreme cluerty where in the name of sex and passion they bit each other for blooding minced meat or almost. Lovely to see how they try to form out youth to be the school guys of Sad Marki (Sadistic), as if like passionate love and desire would require to bleed the poor "love interest" to death screaming all along of the pain - BUT PLEASURE. Nice conditioning.... to make it "normal".
Otherwise I liked the story but FL had the best chemistry, the "best acress ever" when she was the FL in the Wolf. That was a masterpiece and she was absolutely great, plus the ML had a level of Yang over the roof...... if you know what I mean, sadly the drama was censored krippling it a lot but still, one of the very best drama of hers ever,

Any news please? Eagerly waiting, I love both the ML and the FL, talented, they are very likely real fire works.

Allow me to be honest, I don't like the actress, while she is clearly talented and a good actress, for me - peronal thing I guess - she is a kind of repulsive? - somehow she is too over..., fake... I love Jan TianCi, b ut I was bored to death with their drama (love your voice) and also the ML was absolutely great in this series but I somehow lost the romace because of her. I know it is harsh, but I can't help, for me she is somehow not the uper-upper-loveyoutill-i Would die for you female and a bit too artificial.

For me it is the best love story ever.

Hesitating rewatching the Story of Kunning Palace (I saw it many-many times) or Lost You Forever (also saw it many-many times), but no matter what I start I can't stand them, so childish, such weak plots, weakly built characters, exaggerated situations, unbelievable, I always "drop out" from the tale. Shadow Love was the best among them nowadays. But hoping for a Big Gun like the two dramas mentioned above. Maybe I rewatch City of Streamer (I loved that period customes and so and the romance part was really good) or maybe The Wolf (again? - I wish the wouldn't have butchered that one as otherwise it was also a good drama with very good acting here and there, emotionally a huge kick but because of it I really liked that one.

I've tried. I am bored around the 7th-8th episode. Again, too many exaggerations, it is unbelievable, also the FL sometimes smart, sometimes look as if a 8 year old girl with innoncent and silly expression on her face, ML carrying a sick person in arms im the rain for forever instead of wraping the person to a blanket or coat and rushing back on a horse back or with umbrella or with the help of the contless servants? 3 days and left out and ML didn't notice it at all? When he should be smart enough according to his role and position but he missed to know that FL won't be liked in that home hence better to be alert a bit? And so on and so on. To me it is a weak drama but these days almost all of them are - sadly.
