Today I was eating icecream with my mother and there was just 2 portions in a box. She ate hers, then with that same spoon she used to eat, she went into the box and took more.
I said hey, if you are using the spoon you ate with, now that is your icecream!!!
She said - nooo, I took it just from one corner ...
And I said ... hey, if you used the spoon you ate with, there are no corners, you used YOUR spoon on the icecream that was supposedly for me
,,,,so several times she said it doesnt matter bc she took it just from one corner... finally
She said - well I wasnt thinking...
I said - that's the whole point You are so selfish, you never think of me.
This icecream thing is just a small example. One time I was very ill with high fever, nobody checked on me for days, I had no water, so I went to get water, and fainted and almost broke my skull.

ANd so when you have that kind of mother - even a small version of JIS - then you DO wonder if you are like her.
Honestly after today, I am wondering what happened to me after being arond that kind of mother.

I dont think he would marry her knowingly if she had that kind of past. I think he thinks he needs her bc she cares for him and is one stable part of his life BUT ALSO I think he is toxically glued to her bc there is somethng really sick and dead and mentally unstable about her - like destroying those pots - and that is what REMINDS HIM OF HIS MOM and that's why he feels drawn to "keep saving" her from her own .. . psychopathy. The pots scene was highly psychopatic imo, to do such a drastic thing for nothing.

How she got him to lay down and bed and left him there is .... strange and yet it seems like that is one reason why he likes her. she SEEMS to care for him... in a way he is used to..

I was wondering if Grandpa killed his own wife in fire - why was he standing there, not calling firefighters? Someone said JIS could have killed her mother by mistake...

JIS keeps trying to convince her son to welcome killing someone who is in his way. He is disgusted and also afraid he is like her. His angst (and the fact that there is nothing to watch) made me watchthis.
I think he has a point there. His genetics is heavily on him.

ML's wife is very strange. THe first scene we met her, she was quickly destroying the clay pots, angry bc she couldnt do them right, and I was thinking - this amount of anger and destruction is not called for, this woman is a PSYCHOPATHIC KILLER.
I remembered instantly another kdrama where an aide to elderly kills the enderly bc she asked her to come again, and the route had to many stairs, and she was annoyed, so she killed the elderly. So then ML rushed to "save" this destoying chick and I learned she is his wife. Strange!!! The way he was saving her, is as if he were to save his own mother from killing. I thought WOW HE IS PREDISPOSED TO BEING AROUND WOMEN LIKE HIS MOTHER
Also, I Everything his wife did is strange adn stupid later.

BUT could this rather small chick punch and kick an adult male Min Jin? He is rather frail but still, to punch with fists requres some strenght... ?
And then the killer hung him in a pose that reminds me of those porn whipping scenes

I dont think the Police officer who was dong JIS case from tje start could be it = he was at the opera?

The interesting thing to me is the intergenerational stuff and ML's inner confusion and conflict about it. See spoiler

Ok asking again after rewatching the scene. CAN a woman kick and punch an adult male like we saw in ep 5? Even if trained, can a woman punch with fists like that? how big would she have to be?

But... the scene we saw is a villain KICKING and PUNCHING an adult male and knocking him off... JIS never done that, I think.

When Min was beat, could a woman like her do it? It seems like it required strength. BUT I remember the scene when she destroys pots when she cannot do them right...I thought to myself this woman is a phychopath and yeah she could kill. When she gets annoyed, she destroys. BUT is she strong enough to kick an adult male like that..
