And SR has a solid 100% malicious track record with severe crimes, like locking JI up for 3 months in a mental ward, all alone. JAE IN SHOULD NEVER EVER EVER TRUST ONE WORD SERI SAYS AND SHOULD ALWAYS CHECK AND DOUBLECHECK EVERYTHING RELATED TO SE RI.

If you really wanted to know what I would say if GC came in and killed her son,
I think it is most likely that JI would see the danger coming and do NOTHING bc GC would tell her that nothing was happening, and the GC would kill the kid and then yell at her that she did it, and JI would APOLOGIZE TO HIM for her wrondoing and take all the blame... She was that dumb. And still she often is. It is starting to get less but hey ONE MISTAKE can have literally fatal consequences.

SR will try this again and again... i is too easy for her. And JaeIn SHOULD know that, after the psych ward for 3 months, divorce, poisoning GC, etcetcetc

FYI I adore when actors can do quiet scenes in great detail. One example of that in Haunted Palace is YG waking up to greet his mother. Wow that scene is amazing. We KNEW it was YG just by the expression in his eyes. And then he can switch to the dragon, and again we know it is a dragon. NOTHING MUCH HAPPENS, there is no "over the top acting" that seems like yu call "Netflix style". It is very quiet and subtle but VERY POWERFUL.

Good acting makes you forget that you are watching an actor. It looks like a real person living their life.
I was saying that. And btw that actress Rebecca in Dune that you mentioned is completely fake, to me that movie is an example of all of actors in it doing a very bad job, PRETENDING they are acting.

If you want to see what I call REAL fine acting, in great great detail, right now there is Nine Puzzles male lead. His acting of a very grumpy but honest and rather kind detective is beyond excellent.
Also in Haunted Palace, YGimugi and then YG when he gets out. That one actor acts a human and a dragon, and you can tell who is who, by eyes etc, it really shows. When YG meets his mom, that is WOW acting.

The ML in Tastefully Yours is also an amazing actor, his role is very vivacious but so genuine and fun, and so detailed acting and he turned it into a super rambuctuous comedy. Really fun to watch. It doesnt apply to what we are discussing here, he is not quiet and simple and serious, but I have to mention it because that actor seems to have escaped from the creative jail where he is forced to do only serious roles and FINALLY got to do something fun and really really enjoys it.
His serious role in Scarlet Heart Ryeo was an example of fine detail acting of a slimey quiet confused person, and he did it masterfully. Watch HIS face. He is not pretending. HE IS that slimey quiet person.

If you want to see a TOTALLY SCARY monster, see the 2nd ML in "Heo's Diner". He was a masterful sociopath/psychopath chronic liar. Again, no shouting or crazy scenes... but I was chilled to the bone with his cold killer attitude.

As for female actresses... Five Enough has MrQueen actress, ELegant Family Actress, and FL and they all start absolutely AMAZING and then... the director or something... makes them into brainless clutzes. They become tools of sexism and act as total losers and one-dimensional personas. But MrQueen actress is as amazing comedian, Elegant Family actress is so expressive, and FL was great as a complex character of an angry sacrastic tired but persistant fighting! single mom.

Some amazing scenes of quiet side by female actresses are from FL mom in Iron Family, esp scenes when she finds the orphan and gives him food and money. WOW that totally flored me. Those are scenes of very simple quiet morning when she finds a street kid sleeping in her laundry bin outside on a very cold morning, and she takes him inside and gives him some soup, and then opens the cash register and gives him money. WOW THOSE SCENES!!! both he and she but esp she. I think it is at the start of one episode.

THOSE are some AMAZING AMAZING FINE DETAIL ACTING

PS - So ... to get the idea what you were talking about, I just googled that Rebecca and Lady something in that Dune movie. With all due respect, to me that is utmost trash, there is no acting there, only some pretending and looking pompous. VERY super fake, I am totally unimpressed with that Rebecca and all that wanna-be-acting bs. It is all show without content, it is clear they are PRETENDING.

Oh, I dont think you understood what I was saying. YR need not shout, put make up on, be comedic, etc. She needs to be serious and "flat" as she is now, but also ALIVE and VIBRANT.
The actress is kinda frozen inside, it is basically about 3 facial expressions she uses. She is TOO STIFF AND WITHOUT EXPRESSION, like a robot. It is obvious she is ACTING.

I dont feel the character. I can see it is an actor acting.
A real actor makes you forged that it is acting. It looks REAL, as if you are watching a real person live their life.

Why dont you watch the current "Nine Puzzles" ML and see how a quiet shy character can be super rich in expression. Just warch his face and body language. His taking his hat on and off. His eyes, mounth, nose, hands, sttooping, etc. Everything is SO DETAILED. There is NO ACTOR there is just this person, this detective and you think - oh this detective has a face that reminds me OF SOMEONE ELSE I have seen before. Yeah it is the same actor but he acts totally totally different people

Also the ML in Tastefully Yours is an example of wonderful detailed acting, but of a vivacious person. And also his acting is Scarlet Ryeo is an excellent acting of a slimey conflicted quiet person.

Another total switch is the fem clown in King and THe Clown" drama. He was clearly a new actor without too much experience, but MANY of his scenes are done perfectly, with very little expression he conveys a LOT. To be honest, his future roles did not impress me, except Flower of Evil. Yeah that is another example of a role that is subtle and has lots of fine detail acting.

There is really no character similar to Ye Ri so I cannot show an example, but hopefully this gives you an idea.

I have not seen that kdrama so I will watch it, thank you for letting me know.
I have seen zillion kdramas, so FL issue is not only for historical ones, but for alll... ..
