I agree with your diagnosis and I totally disagree with your question. I think the question should be the other way around. She has no idea what happened. HE HAS TO TELL HER. And he is a coward and did not tell her anything. That is immature and cowardly and means he is NOT ready for a relationship.

Beom Su is very cold, calculated, controlling, "careful" to save his own as#, and then moving other people around to fit his agenda, and he has no issues keeping secrets and deceiving people into their own face. He is a politician in his nature, a slimey careful rat who protects himself at all all times, at the expense of others. He is allowed to state his preference but he cannot just drag people left and right as HE wants to.

Kang Su is too weak to get answers to his questions. He really has no emotional spine, he has some kind of fear, inscurity, inferiority or whatever it is, where he lets others toss him around emotionally and he just tags along without any say in the matters, he just AGREES to whatever others do. He might be shy, BUT IMO HE IS QUITE IMMATURE. So yeah, he isnt ready for a relationship until all that is out of the way, first.

Chairman is super pushy, he feels ENTITLED to pull weak people around like potato sacks. CEO Ma is not ready, she is too weak, too guilty, too confused, and he just DRAGS her along. Love is not a business deal. SHE HAS TO DO HER SHARE.

The Ex is actually a criminal, LIAR, and a backstabbing slimey snake, who just takes $$$$$$$ and trashes CS as she wants, always ready to belitle, cheat lie and deceive so that she could get MORE $$$$$ for herself. To me, ep 36 is a rather boring and bothersome filler bc the script is so tropey...
On the other hand, all the dirty HAS to come out at some point ... so let's say that is the good use of this episode.
But it is always the same old dirty tropes we see all the time in so many dramas, like parents not wanting to allow children to marry or do what they want, etc etc etc. We all KNOW ahead of time what it is going to be :) so that is why it is so boring.

I dislike when the plot is made by people keeping secrets from each other, refusing to say what NEEDS to be said, and then backfiring into each other's face. And of course, pushing other ppl who are not ready. And very very very lack of boundaries.

It is like everyone is in FEAR of the CONSEQUENCES of what the other people will do to them if the truth is discussed, so everyone tries to tiptoe around and PROTECT THEIR OWN AS# at the expense of having super toxic relationships.

So basically everyone AGREES to have SUPER TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS

I think this happens a lot in Asia since it is so overpopulated so ppl are too close to each other, however, this makes their life HELL
It happens in Europe too since it is so small and crowded as well, and there are so many wars and religion .... THis kind of lying to each other is typical Italian :) or German :) Italians with the catholic church guilt and cheating, and Germans with Nazism... French sleep around but that is normal and nobody bothers feeling guilty about it.... etc etc etc . ALL PEOPLE ANYWHERE have issues with keeping secrets and living in hell bc of it... but some cultures are worse than others.
