Question: why did Quiao family pay $20,000 for the the pregnant mistress when they KNEW she was not pregnant?

Also, how come the family could NOT challenge / confront Simei to get back on track or else? She keeps doing stupid things and they keep paying for it... how come nobody ever held her responsible? She has been selfishly DESTROYING their family.... Is this a normal thing for a Chinese family? There are lots of tropes that are typical - nasty mothers in law, favoring "my" kids, marrying into position, etc. Is Simei case yet another one of those?

i am thinking that malnutrition made Simei and Ergang a little bit ... mentally defective, to be polite about it. He was a mental zombie not thinking nor speaking nor living until he started living with Master Ma.
Simei has some screws in her brain just OFF. She suffers from major delusions. She is mentally off. She has an addiction to destroying her life, her daughter's life, and her family, and all for the pretty face. She lives in some fantasy world. It looks like a mental illness...
Was her brain FRIED from the hardships in childhood... ???

also, I dont understand why tiny skinny sharp fantasy driven Simei paired herself with a big muscilar guy with no brains. HE does not like her. She is not juicy at all. She might like a boy toy but can she even use him fully...??? They are just "different species". So for a culture that is so specific about matching - the zodiac signs, elements, etc... how come nobody is doing that here..? Bc of survival? He had no other place to go so he just used her?

I was thinking during the drama that 2nd brother perhaps did not have enough to eat and experienced some brain and health damages so that's why he is so slow. I was really worried ALL three kids will end up with malnutrion damages. In some ways they did, 1 3 and 4 are super skiny and girls are tiny and perhaps Simei went bananas too

And I wonder what is the plate with smoke that Big Brother saw his mom carry to his face when he learned he has major illness - I was thinking was it some food she gave him when he was a child that caused the disease, or was she just greeting him in some special way

that's quite it. I am looking for soemthing deeper. For example... someone hurt him in some ways and EH reminds him of that, etc.

There are zillion possible scenes after this :) A good script writer will pick something that sheds more light to the story in SOME way, hopefully with some wicked fun twist :) If we didnt get to see the end of this scene then there is a reason - somehow - either a wicked twist or a foreboding hint. In any case, each scene has to show something significant about the participants and their relationship.

Also, the twists are a lot more fun :) The scenario I suggested is rather advanced, I dont think they are gonna be saying YET to each other "I want to have kids with you" :) Also, we can get a surprise and FL can turn around and say "you smell a lot better than your handerchiefs" reminding him that she took notice that 3 times he freely volunteered to share his personal items.. but I dont think that will happen yet bc that sentence is an open invitation for a close up.... So for right now, they are probably just gazing and saying something about how they love to have a family and kids and would love to find a life love partner asap. They are still testing and feeling out each other. SHE is sure she loves him, and is patiently waiting for him to respond. He is melting real fast LOL it took him 1 episode to erase his ex :) So, the next thing that actually needs to happen is for him to become aware of his feelings for her and to start courting her. We can give him 1 more episode for that :)

Exactly we do not know anything that happened that night!!!! we do know that it is 99.9% chance that SHE folded his clothes - therefore she was smack middle in that room next to his bed while he is naked and drunk.... and that the scene we found in the morning shows many things going on... why would he be taking off his clothes when apparently he doesnt do it normally, he was shocked to find himself naked.....but in HER house he took clothes off... and in HER house, she was comfortable being around the naked him.... for example, a hot drunk person is also likely sleeping without any blankets...
WHY did she fold his clothes if she knows he is out of it? I understand that she opened the door to check how he is doing... but to get into that room and be folding clothes of a drunk person who can wake up or throw his blankets off.... isnt SHE saying somthing with her behavior.
We DO know that in the morning he crawled into her bed and stayed there for a while. etc
Those two are rough and immature so things are not quite so smooth but clearly something is going on, on BOTH sides.

Also the dad is where the foolish pride comes from too. JH is a copy of his moron dad. Dad gave ALL his $100K for the house mortgage to JH as a wedding gift to impress the inlaws. My opinion is that you do NOT have to go through the nitty gritty details of making a porn movie. All those could be skipped for the sake of putting more details that show the oppression etc.
Why dont you watch kdrama "Familyhood" from 2016, it is 1.5 hr movie that masterfully picks the key moments to convey various messages. The movie did not go through 45 mins of various scenes showing how spoiled the FL was.

SJ is not a truly nice mature guy. He is a snowflake parasite but in a more polite form. HE SEEMS NICE TO PPL WHO FALL FOR THE "LOOK" ..... SIMPLY BC HE DOES NOT HAVE THE BALLS TO SPEAK HIS TRUTH AND ALWAYS TRIES TO HIDE AND SLIDE AND SUGARCOAT IT. He is not a bad person and does not intentionally harm anyone, but he is *** weak ***, he is all about convenience for himself, so he essentially overlooked the crime done to his sister bc he is too busy clinging to EH. He is a villain in indirect ways, bc he does nothing to clear and advance toxic situations.

JH, on the other hand, has strength deep in him, BUT he is misusing it for egotism and prostitution ... to make himself an owner of half of a big company. He willingly ditched all his family and friends and of course Eun Ho - but crawled back to her when HE NEEDED HELP. "She is compatible for helping him" ie he is USING her.. .... . JH has a mean streak and is capable and willing to intentionally harm others. In that sense, he is an active villain. He elbowed his way forward to grab the $$$$$$. But he is a coward and came back for help as soon as it got a little rough, without learning ANYTHING from the experience.

Dad needs $100K to pay off house mortgage AND he needs money to marry the 3 kids. So dad gave $100K to JH to impress the inlaws... Basicaly the dad threw his family home under the bus. PROUD STUPID MORON and JH takes after him

2ML is a flakey iffy naive lazy immature guy under a disguise of being nice. He has time to cling around EH and play video games, but he has no balls to confront JH and say - hey I want this chick, are you interested? If not, I am going forward, If yes then... I will cross her off, move to Antartica, whatever. He had no balls for 6 years to confess to EH. THEN FOR ALL THIS TIME HE TOTALLY MISSES THAT HIS SISTER IS CONED BY THE STEP MOM AND ALREADY MENTALLY DERAILED FROM IT.

SJ behaved properly as he nicely asked JH to talk and JH refused, and then JH did everything on his own. So SJ is 100% clear of any issues on this. He did even more than he was supposed to do, he fought the greedy egoistical RUDE JH to tell him what is going on and JH refused. Then JH abandoned everyone and did the whole wedding thing on his own. So JH is 100% guilty for everything that happened.

SJ is a good guy but a naive guy and not very effective guy. He missed that his sister is under the stepmom's con artistry and quite mentally unstable for a while already.
SJ is too much of a coward to see that JH has to be challenged, not catered to, and that he either should confess to EH or cross her off. Clinging to her - and forgetting his sister - is destructive to everyone.

Your version is an entirely different drama and it could be a great drama :) But is a more fun choice if JH was a good boy and BoA was in love with a jerk.
