Well when he came back from Tibet he warned her - he SAID - what if I am no good. She should have listened :) Oh so the Big Brother actor plays "one role" well in multiple dramas... LOL
Imo Ep 13 is the only episode where there is SOME attempt at communication and change so would say only ep 13 did not put me to sleep. Maybe ep 14 as the end. I watched to the end as an analysis of WHY a drama goes bad. What exactly makes it dull? My conclusion: lack of depth, communication, and character growth. Goblin actor is a great actor but this drama does not show him properly. His character is too .. well... stuck and stale. So: To me, the only memorable "ALIVE AND REAL" scene in this drama is Ep 13 when Tae Hoon and SC talk in the hospital In those scenes we get to see behind the rough crust of the Tae Hoon cold one-facial-expression one-dimensional mafiozo facade. We get to see the deeper side of friendship and care and standing for principles .
Tae Hoon's good feeling for his friend makes him suddenly turn *alive* and attentive and communicating, solving problems as a team, caring for his friend, and that makes him look incredibly cute - for a change, so I predict that this actor will be great in all kinds of roles, he CAN express a range of emotions. I think they did something different with his hair too? I am not sure but he somehow looked a LOT younger and fresher and would be fantastic for all kinds of roles - melodramas, rom com, anything - cheating husbands, charming good guys in love, sneaky salesman, crafty attorney, ... and yeah mafiozo's politicians etc... anything. I predict him lots of great roles.
AND THAT IS THE ONLY SCENE I WILL REMEMBER FROM THIS DRAMA. The rest is too dull and stuck. Well there is some progress in ep 13 and 14 but it cannot make up for the muck of totally stuck episodes 5-12.
Also, the only other worthy scene is SC talking to the high school kid hiding in the motel and the kid was not able to follow the advice, he trusted the thugs and paid with his life. I was thinking that the drama glorifies thug life and those scenes make it clear what that life is really about. It should send a chilling message to any youngters enamored with this.
Also, we dont know what happened with Tae Hoon's promise to SC to leave the thug life. Seems like nothing bc we didnt see him at the end.
SC is a dumbo, his last actions of trying to be John Wayne and leave his love to kill a whole town of thugs on his own and then ride off into the sunset unscratched - was soooooo over the top DUMB. yieah it was necessary to put him away for a while to let him detox from all that

I think you are watching a wrong show. It seems that your taste is better suited for western "entertainment" where soft porn is kinda expected to make up for the lack of content, lack of depth and lack of storytelling. Yeah a few kisses and bangings under a sheet and car chases takes up most of the show time. Where is the story? Nowhere to be found.
Right now you are watching something else, you are watching the WARMTH that makes up real relationships. Kdramas are not shy, they are super realistic, and it is very clear that the physical bond is included too, but also there is emphasis on the CONNECTION between the lovers, you get to see the whole range of what a couple is, not only their private moments.
RIght now you are watching AN ART PIECE about very deep soul-heart relationships manifested in physical and so you gotta be ready to accept that there is a range of very deep, warm, fine emotions, that there is a story to follow carefully and feel it as you go, carefully navigating all the NUANCES of their expressions and feelings and environment, and that you dont have to see every detail of what a couple does in private. Trust them that they WILL know what to do :) Based on everything you saw, you can bet they DO know what to do. So leave them alone!!!!! to their own private business. Especially two very young and innocent people. Let their first love bloom.
Based on the very tender expression you DID see for example in Ep 7, you will surely feel confident that they will have a plenty good time in private and that's all you need to know. Be busy with your own private time and dont mind the others...

They are SOPHISTICATED CLASSY ELEGANT **** WARM ***** and really go into the depth of the emotion, depth of relationship, depth of connection, you get to explore the WARMTH OF HUMAN RELATIONSHIP IN PROPER PARTNERSHIP. Imo The older FL (aka mom) is better suited for her villain roles like in The Defects. She is not very lovey dovey and not quite "into it" when there are lovey dovey sweet scenes between mother daughter and also between her and architect. There is this shine of ... .. Isnt it funny how some actors are always the same no matter what drama they are in, so they just get assigned the role that fits their "only possible expression". For example Kim Mi Kyung - she is in a doctor in current Love, Take 2 - I have seen at least 4 of her dramas and she is always the same LOL It is essentially the same character - grumpy reliable stoic stern "helper" , i.e. they always put her into a role that fits her only expression :) so she "looks good" Cute male actors get put in as eye candy for more numerous female audience, what can we do, it brings $$$$, but they SHOULD act too.

So he was rather one dimensional meek character... and the actor somehow wasnt in it... There are one-dimensional characters like the Dad - you know what he is going to do and say, everything is totally predictable, he is so 1-dimensional - BUT the actor makes it look real and alive.

I watched only to ep28 so far and he started being a suspect for cheating already
Even a new actor can be outstanding, for example the son of Master Ma - e.g. that scene where he checks out the food on the table, lifts the "lid" sniffs it and starts eating, is an ***absolutely masterful**** scene. That kiddo is a mighty talented actor imo. He makes it seem REAL.
The Big Brother is an outstanding actor, he makes it seem real and alive. His liar wife and even the bratty first crush, ... are acting amazing too. There are SO MANY characters and practically all actors are outstanding.
I will remember the drama for the Big Brother because to me that is a real amazing actor. (And so skinny... and with a bad posture... what does he eat??? he is just a few bones and a cute fluff of hair, where is his stamina and health for endless shootings??? I wish him some good food and more muscle on him, great health, and hundred years of amazing acting.)

LOL yes he is gorgeous ... and he can be even more gorgeously "displayed" with a proper choice of clothing and hair :) In Twelve, the choice of black and burgundy clothing for him and dark long hair and dark lipstick kinda implies Drakula, blood, bad stuff with blood, evil and blood, just like the bad guys who called him, and bc the clothing is very simple and very dark, HIS PALE FACE STANDS OUT and he has a beautiful face, His clothing is like a frame for the painting... a good frame makes the painting pop up.

This drama is based on RICH ppl doing revenge. Paddy is rich, and somehow JI got money again so they hire detectives etc. Story not very helpful for the rest of us ordinary ppl
The look in Do Yoon's eyes and face before he sat on that bench... ! wow. Amazing acting, and perfectly appropriate for that character. He KNEW it because of the intensity he used to defend her. It was definitely fueled by something very personal. Do Yoon is one of my favorite ML in all kdramas I have ever seen.
