I dont understand Moon's plan, if there was any except to just run the company badly and make it lose. I also dont understand Stella - Lucia plan. So Lucia seduces the Old Guy. And then what? A normal old guy would tell her all the secrets and maybe even give her some shares. But this one will not. So then what were they thinking.... ?? just to hang around him as much as possible and somehow overhear some secret they would misuse to their advantage... ? that seems rather random and based on luck...
The "transformation" is a huge let-down in my opinion. It doesn't feel as jaw-dropping as I thought it'd be. But…

She might... since Paddy has a way of reaching her and making her think and feel and act human. To her credit, she responds to his love and listens to him. Well - at least sometimes. LOL she hasnt answered the core call of his, she hasnt made a decision to dismantle her corporate fortress yet.... Yeah she is acting to make YL her son's and hers, she understand her son is not capable of leading yet - and might never be LOL he is not that type
So I would say, if Mi Ran irritates you, that is touching something in you where you are either like MiRan blindly following some belief system of your family, environment or some organization, or suffering at the hands of someone like MiRan, someone steeped in "tradition" and "old values" and blindly pushing them onto others

Cartoons have simple 1-dimensional characters - this is the blazing hero Prince Charming Obsessive Tyrant Superman, this is the ah-so-perfectly-sweet girl friend, etc. It is good that Prince Superman is not 1-dimensional anymore. Now we see him as a man who suffers a lot as he is trying to save lives of those dear to him... and can do that only by ... prostitution into mafia, and HOW HE IS AFFECTED by that, but he cannot feel it or act it out. Bc the mafia boss is going to kill not only him but all those he loves. Prince Superman is a prostitute and a mafia pion and he suffers ..... The equivalents of modern life is ... being a corporate pion, a family pion, organized crime pion... There MUST be some way out but he didnt figure it out yet so he suffers in silence, and the only person he let behind that wall is this slutty unreliable gullible FL.... who keeps betraying him at every chance she gets. Any time he turns around, she is in the arms of another man or being killed. So Prince Superman is really suffering alone while slaving away to yet another "mafia boss" who holds him hostage by his feelings of love. I like how his Superman character is starting to CRACK. He is starting to question the entitlement of those who hold him hostage.

She is in a place ridden with plague, Tuberculosis - people caughing tuberculosis into her face and napping tubercolosis on her lap - etc and where everyone has knives and swords and poison and USES IT FREELY as they wish, any time.
Anyone with any IQ would have realized Joseon aint 21st century condo living... She is basically in a chaebol story on steroids where chaebols are completely unchecked - and everyone else too!!!! - as there is not even a pretense of a legal system... And the dumb her, she does NOTeven think what kinds of cost is Prince Charming paying to have that hard-as-rock chest and run around saving her life from various stupidities.... She takes him for granted as her own Superman toy solely at her disposal.... In short... our FL is majorly majorly majorly immature and irresponsible and self centered. A loser without any real skillZ or compassion. She doesnt love Prince Charming. He is sexy but she has no interest to really take care of him and help him and do what is best for him. He is her TOY and a body guard. He is like her magical loyal puppy that she doesnt have to feed or take for walks - she beats him up and expects him to take care of himself. AND SO ... FL EFFECTIVELY KEEPS BACKSTABBING THE ML
Sociopaths work by recruiting others. A "good friend" who turns around to bite you is a common thing.... especially when it involves a love interest, or money, a seemingly good friend will backstab. Sociopath exploits that weakness... The good friend is more interested in fuc#ing his "love interest" than protecting his "good friend"....
So yeah a backstabbing friend is an excellent character in a drama like this... bc rich and famous and powerful always have plenty of such "good friends". "Normal" people always try to kiss as# of those whom they think in power... at the moment LOL
So we get to see how Prince Superman is actually very vulnerable and all alone, fending the monsters and losing his life to the backstabbing "love" and "friends". Suddenly his 1-dimensional facade is all cracked up and falling. In some way it still holds up as we can see that HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO KEEPS HIS LOYALTY AND PROMISES so in that way he has proven to be the "superior model" ..... hoewever, his superiority is bc he cannot feel... he still doesnt love himself enough and is allowing himself to be misused by his various masters i.e. leeches and he is bleeding to death... spiritually, he is a shell, a person who gave up truly living... .... And our "good characters" are nothing but just backstabbing parasites sucking his blood.
So all those character flaws HAVE TO COME UP TO BE WORKED OUT. So it has to get ugly. Super ugly. As their flaws are very deep.
And the environment is really murky. The "legal system" of that place is a pothead, a drugged person of low IQ and full of egotism and insecurity who sends people to torture chambers and kills them. In real life this is your evil boss, an ignorant parent or family member, etc... The killing and exploitation can be anything from emotional, monetary all the way to torture chambers and taking lives... THE PLOT IS ALWAYS LIKE THIS - it is just the circumstances that are slightly different....
An equivalent of this Prince Charming Superman is the 2nd ML in recent "Sping of Youth" where he is the shut down Superman character controlled by his father.... "One high school heroes" ML is a twist on Prince Charming Superman where he finds a loophole and fights mafia boss dominance over him by becoming a side mafia boss himself... ML in "Highschool superhero" stays the 1-dimensional Prince Superman character..
so there are lots of variations on the general theme...
SO this kdrama has a great potential to show us the fall-and-crumble of the "cartoon characters" emerging and evolving into human beings in a meaningful way, ....
well except Eun Ae who cannot be redeemed... she already turned evil... and "the only friend" will not be redeemed unless he confesses asap what he found and saw.... and FL ... well... if she doesnt start standing by her guy, she is gonna lose him too.... and Prince Charming... if he doesnt take care of himself FIRST, if he doesnt start feeling everything and being honest with himself, he will lose his soul forever. She is atoning for her mother's sins (and her own indirect sins for being so naive and blind and oblivious). So JI living there is a healing situation.
