I think this scene on rooftop was just in Punn's head. More precisely it was just a dream. Why? Because we know…
I see, i thought since there was creepy music when Punn asked Ramil about going up to the rooftop garden, it must have been Ramil that had done something to Punn's memory OR manipulated him to sleepwalk up there. You said that Ramil could control minds so perhaps that was what happened so Punn could remember it but only in a dream. I suspect the dream kissing scenes are also Ramil sending messages to Punn that this could be their future or playing with his mind.
It's true that the hunters could leave Ramil trapped in the painting forever, but to them, he would still be alive and remain a threat as long as the correct person comes along and breaks the curse. I think the hunters didn't plan for Punn to break the curse (they left the painting exhibited in hope to lure the correct person). However, once Punn freed Ramil Jett did assign Punn to kill Ramil right at the very start when he was the weakest. However, Ramil quickly and aggressively tried to make Punn love him from the very start, destroying Punn's willpower.
HAHAHA my suspicion that Ramil knows about Punn's true identity is correct. He seemed waaay too trusting around Punn for a supposed crafty vampire that has lived for hundreds of years. Turns out, he has FOUR powers, including mind reading, so he knows about everything in Punn's head. Ramil is a little bit of a trickster too, taking advantage of Punn's nosebleed to restore his fourth power (from my understanding of ep.4). It seems that Ramil could even mess with Punn's memory as Punn seemed confused if he had gone up to the rose garden or not at night (hopefully someone can explain to me that part).
I feel that by making Ramil so overpowered (speed, healing, transformation and mind reading), he can easily defeat any enemies (especially the rather weak hunters). I still don't understand why restoring Ramil's power didn't cause the trio to lose theirs? This makes his group so overpowered or do they operate at a 50% level? I hope that future battles won't turn out so one-sided, or perhaps there would be some newer and more powerful enemies (maybe some other vampires that are evil instead).
Banjong, you killed Woordej, tried to kill "Worradej" a second time, which makes you the most shameless…
Haha yeah... This actor can't catch a break and keeps acting as the bad guy throughout all of Change2561's shows... first as Winner in PitBabe, then as Ek in Affair and now as Banjong in this show. Don't get me wrong, he is very good at being the villain and I love his work.
I have a question, if anyone can answer, I'd be grateful. The subtitles in my native language don't show how to…
Note that in the Thai language, the he/she pronoun is gender neutral (kao) and thus gender identification is by the way they end their sentences (ka for female or krub for male).
Prince (in the modern era) identifies as a kathoey, a ladyboy that uses ka at the ending of her sentences. However, she is also impersonating Worredej, who uses krub at the ending of his sentences and likely identifies as a gay man due to his more conservative era.
Regardless, in the show, it is not a very big deal to Prince/Worredej since they do respond no matter how other characters address them (eg. as the Count's son (luk chai) or with the Count title in their own right).
Ep4. is another fantastic episode in this amazing series! Some thoughts on ep.4: 1. I'm glad we got the full picture on the 1930s story on Khem and Pawat. Chayod is a morally grey character, everything he does is in his extreme obsessive love for Khem. Yes, he did some very BAD things, but in the end he didn't team up with Ramphueng (why would he, since he wanted Khem's love and she wanted to harm Khem) and transformed himself to protect Khem. It's good that he won't be an obstacle anymore in this current Khem and Peem.
2. Now everyone is interested to know what Ramphueng's backstory and beef with Khem is. It must be really really tragic to hold a 400 year grudge. I am also curious to know the full extent of her powers. The forest spirit seemed dismissive of her at first but she did something to him. Now Peem seems quite overpowered as the shaman but I hope she gives him (and the other three) the fight of their lives.
3. Both BL couples' romances are humming along nicely. I like the slow burn a lot since it makes their final get together more meaningful. I like the dynamics between both couples; Peem and Khem being more protector and protected, while Jet and Charn having a frenemy sort of relationship.
As for point 5, so far at times their relationship is more like that of a puppy (Ramil) and a parent (Punn) than…
Yeah it is strange why Ramil brings Punn around during battles, but perhaps it is because Ramil (unlike Ciar, Methas and Mehkhin) is a pure vampire and has never been human before. Ramil can't do basic human tasks like driving so he needs Punn to drive him around. So yeah Punn is needed as an interface to take care of Ramil in the modern human world. Ramil was trapped 100 years ago, while the other 3 vampires never having been trapped could take time to adjust to the techological advancement.
I wonder why they started hunting Ramil's closest circle only now, since Ramil had been sealed away for 100 years.…
They could have been waiting for Ramil to be released before attacking him and his follower vampires (which they do not know all). For example, they could have known Ramil's and Methus' identities but not known Ciar and Mekhin. Afterall, Methus, Ciar and Mekhin have been living as humans for a long time after Ramil got trapped (although Ciar isn't even trying as a cult leader using his foresight abilities and shown nearly drinking his follower's blood... LOL). Thus they needed to release Ramil in order to follow him as he regroups before attacking all of them.
I have a weakness for exceptionally powerful characters who know unprepared their enemy is, whether physically…
Haha I laughed a bit when Mekhin called Ciar that there were 3 hunters after him and Ciar was like... Oh, is that so? There's 8 on my side. Barcode's acting is so great as the bad boy vampire that loves to push limits.
Yes I think Jet and Elise should know Methus is a vampire (as the owner of Ramil's painting, he's one of them or at least a human aligned with them). Obviously they are very interested in the painting as well and wanted it in their gallery in order to see if anyone could release Ramil could be released before killing him. I suspect that they themselves ordered the painting to be damaged as an excuse to keep it in their hands while they took time to 'repair' it. Jet probably didn't know Punn would side with the vampires so quickly.
Yes, at first everyone thought that being trapped in the painting was a bad thing for Ramil, but it turns out that perhaps the curse protected him from getting hunted down like the rest of his lineage.
How 'horror' is this? Cuz im a huuuuuge scaredy cat
There are jumpscares in each episode especially ep.1 in order to set the supernatural tone and the antagonists are ghosts that haunt the main character Khem. There are some comedy and romance bits in between throughout in order to cut the tension. I highly recommend this BL drama as its well produced and acted. You can try to watch it with the lights on, or alternate between watching this and a lighter show if you're really scared.
Some of my thoughts on ep.2: 1. Some interesting lore regarding how Ramil got trapped into the painting. 2. I liked the three contrasting personalities of Methas, Mekhin and Ciar. Each of them have a unique power too. 3. Barcode's acting as Ciar is so good as the dark and rebellious 'son' of Ramil. I'm so happy to see him in a show again 🥳 4. No suprise over the identities of the Hunters. The fight scenes are ok but they appear too weak if they are supposed to have managed to kill off the rest of Ramil's entire vampire line. Ramil is too overpowered even though he is not at full strength yet. 5. I feel the romance between Punn and Ramil is a bit too fast. I would prefer to see them suffer a little bit first with many difficulties thrown their way before getting together so that the romance feels more earned.
I've been waiting for this series for three years, and I think I expected too much. Although Borcode is truly…
Agreed that the romance is way too fast. It doesn't feel earned at all. There should be some difficulties and obstacles thrown at the main couple first then they kiss...
I just saw Khemmika in today’s episode. Can someone explain what’s going on? Is Khemjira the reincarnation…
Yes Khemjira is the reincarnation of Khemmika. The two Khems are in different timelines and never technically met. Chayod (the male ghost obsessed with Khemmika) is the one that connects both timelines as he is a ghost. He brought Khemjira to his old house in order to trap him there forever together, which by then Khemmika is long dead. Khemjira, as the next life of Khemmika then remembers what happens in the past. The scene of Chayod, Khemmika and the main antagonist ghost Ramphueng occured shortly after Khemmika died where he swore to protect her next reincarnations forever.
I find it funny everyone hates on Twilight but they are the only ones who ever made a nice accurate Vampire love…
I think a lot of criticism of Twilight was directed towards the stiff acting. To me its fine if every show puts its spin on the vampire concept (eg. scared of sunlight or not, hates garlic or not). New lore or weaknesses can be added, but the core blood-sucking concept should not be touched, or else they're just generic supernatural beings.
Unfortunately GMMTV likes to make most its stuff PG. For its two vampire BLs (My Golden Blood & Revamp), both vampire love interests don't feel dangerous at all to the MC. They softened way too quickly to establish the BL romance.
This show has twists, one of which is related to Punn's character. There are reasons for his actions.
Lol u sure have an active imagination, mixing all sorts of concepts with the vampire drama such as ancient water demon and drug money (which sounds more like a crime drama). You should be hired to write some scripts so that the audience won't ever be able to predict or get bored.
Khemjira and DFF are different sort of horror. Khemjira relies more on jumpscares and ghosts, DFF relies more…
I think Khemjira is good so far cause a lot of effort went into developing the lore, set design and motivations of the main characters and the acting is good in my opinion.
I totally get what you mean, cause sometimes I need to view some reels on IG/YT before getting sucked into a series too haha. If its the horror part you are afraid of, you can always watch with the lights on.
I was one of the viewers that wanted/expected a darker vampire show similar to the original pilot as we had a lighter vampire show in My Golden Blood. But strangely enough, Revamp is kinda growing on me.
Some of my thoughts on ep.1: 1) Ramil doesn't like to drink blood, but the entire purpose of a vampire is the tension between his desire for blood vs his love interest. "Luckily", the revival ritual needed some of the MC's blood so it compensates that darkness requirement a little bit.
2) I like the dynamics of a goofy boss Ramil and a much more serious underling Methas. I can't wait to find out the stories of the other two vampires as well.
3) I didn’t like the MC Punn (no hate to the actor, I like them as a pair). He seems too passive and dim-witted to survive in this vampire world with zero self-preservation instinct. Maybe his character will slowly improve.
4) I'm interested to find out the great mystery of the show, which is how Ramil lost his powers and got trapped in the painting. I'm still hoping that this show will move in a darker/more serious direction as it progresses.
On a scale of 1-10, how scary it is? Because I've seen DFF and I told myself I won't watch any other horror...
Khemjira and DFF are different sort of horror. Khemjira relies more on jumpscares and ghosts, DFF relies more on gore and shock value. The frequency of jumpscares in Khemjira decreases after ep.1 which has the most in order to set the supernatural tone of the series.
There are some jumpscares especially in ep.1 to set the supernatural tone. However, there isn't any blood/gore. The ghosts and horror elements are well acted and done in my opinion. If you are easily scared you can watch this show with the lights on. There is quite a bit of background lore thus needing time to set up. Hints of the BL romance are sprinkled about for now since it is still early on (ep.1-3).
Khem is really really naiveðŸ˜I was shocked for a little bit, especially when he said that the abusive husband…
Yeah that was a terrible comment by Khem. I wonder if its his coping mechanism since he's always been haunted by ghosts (which are more clear cut evil), so he's not so attuned to how people may actually say one thing and do another.
Also since he's been told since young that he's cursed to die before 21, he may have trauma that forces him to view things more positively in order to get the will to live. Someome more pessimistic might have concluded that there was no point in continuing to live and off'ed himself already. Khem feels like a bright and cheery character but with a lot of dark turmoil underneath.
