i only watched this bc i couldn't stop laughing. am i a bad person??
It's so chaotic and unintentionally funny and that's the beauty of this series. Every few minutes there is something new that makes the viewer go WHUT? There is never a dull moment in this show.
Can anyone explain to me what happens in the pilot because I am so confused. There are too many characters for…
To start the game, he must pick one of the 4 factions and serve its Head. He previously did that and it was a nightmare for him. Thus, this time he decides not to pick any faction and thus breaks the game's usual narrative.

I think it's a videogame. Tommy's character as the game's MC intentionally died in order to restart the game and the other game characters don't feel surprised he came back from the dead, like they are also self-aware that in their world that it can happen. They would freak out if its real life.
I like your explaination a lot. I find it wild that nobody in that uni seem suprised that Tommy's character came…
My theory is that the entire show is actually a videogame and that Tommy is the MC. However, its like a creepy game where the game remembers the saved file (previous events) but the MC doesn’t when he died. That's why every other character in the game doesn't feel its strange he came back from the dead.
Tommy said he intentionally died in order to start over, hence he became a self-aware MC that realizes that entire thing he's trapped in is just a game. However this time round, he's not going to play the game normally but break it, hopefully ending the nightmarish game.
I don't know why so many people seem confused over the plot in the pilot and think it's all over the place because…
I like your explaination a lot. I find it wild that nobody in that uni seem suprised that Tommy's character came back from the dead, so it gives the entire series a game-like feel which is a fresh take on the elite school setting. It has the feel of a dark BL visual novel too.
The 4 Heads each have distinctive bad personalities.
Max seems to be the most hotheaded, fighting in the boxing ring, with Mark and Nammon as his enforcers as they invite their juniors the 'honour' of showering tog.
Kimmy's character is the playboy (3some scene) while also wanting to own Tommy both physically and sexually as well.
Pim's character (the girl) is the manipulative one that knows everybody's business and likes taking compromising videos of everyone.
Yim's character is the spoilt rich pretty boy that likes riding others and is also facing a power struggle with Net in his own faction.
I guess they are so obessed with owning Tommy as they believe that he is something special, coming back from the dead. It's unclear if the poor students can be unowned. Kimmy's character claims to own JJ but he denies it.
There is also a side plot of Toptap and Poppy that seems like a toxic r/s. Overall, it's gonna be a wild and messy ride.
Glad i'm not the only one who thought it looks a lot like Elite, not that that's a bad thing. I love the sexy,…
Me too! Among the DMD new series announced, this is the one I'm looking forwards the most! The concept is fresh by incorporating game-like/supernatural elements in an elite school setting.
Very interesting BL drama pilot concept. Its like Elite (Spanish series) + OnlyFriends + Pretty Little Liars +…
The most wild thing is that everyone in the school including the 4 house heads know that the MC (Tommy's character) had died and literally restarts his life again in the school like a game. And then they are forcing him to choose among the 4 of them who to serve again.
Ep.3 is so ridiculous that I had to pause and laugh for a min. The funeral couple cornered a serial killer suspect and fought him, smashing his head with a brick. After knocking him unconscious, they had a romantic moment. It's almost like the drama wanted to show that a couple being killers together is such a romantic thing. 😂
They didn't show a scene where they handed the suspect over to the police but Du Zhi said that he would just take care of it. Him being a funeral director could mean that he disposed of the body in the funeral parlor instead. 😱
Very interesting BL drama pilot concept. Its like Elite (Spanish series) + OnlyFriends + Pretty Little Liars + death and returning back to life to find out the mystery behind the main character's memory loss. I hope that Domundi can make messy shows like this as they usually make fluffy school/workplace BLs.
i can't not laugh at how unserious this is.... it's a FUNERAL HOME BUT THEY'RE OUT HERE DOING GANG ACTIVITIES?!?…
Funeral homes are ideal fronts for gang activites. After all, both require manpower, are service oriented and physically demanding careers, and most importantly, they are an easy way to dispose of any suspicious and unwanted bodies ☠️
This drama is probably one that had the most wasted potential. My advice to the writer/director is to cut out the 3rd couple entirely (and remove the juvenile horny jokes) and develop more on the relationship of the 1st and 2nd couples which I found interesting. I think the hotel owner villian can be used more as an antagonist to foil Sangmin & Dinneaw's relationship. I liked the revenge poison switching part that Sangmin did at the end as it reminded me of Kdramas. Sangmin has a nice evil smile and would do well as a villain or a bad boy in a KBL. 😂
Kidnapping as a plot device can be tricky -it's often used to create tension or force characters into close proximity,…
True, a lot of plot devices in BL dramas (and romance in general), are creepy in reality. This includes stalking, psychological manipulation, gaslighting and not talking no for an answer. I'm not against such plots cause if everyone is fine and perfect, then the show would be extremely boring.
However, I feel that if a love interest does exhibit such toxic behaviour, then the drama should at least portray him as a red flag and not cutesy so that they are also self-aware that the actions shown are morally wrong.
IMO, I don’t know what Fujisawa standing in the relationship in Sei because it didn’t show his intention/motivation/goals…
I think Fujisawa sees Sei as some kind of object or possession that must be 'unspoilt', similar to the expensive things that he designs. After he finds out that Hagiwara had sex with Sei, Fujisawa goes bersek because in his mind, its like someone else touching his 'pure' thing and damaging it.
Finally 😊 on ep 6 everyone is honest with their feelingsSei- offcourse I liked when he accepted every thing…
I agree and I am pleasantly suprised that Hagiwara is so happy and daring now to chase Sei, who still tries to push him away due to his horrible situation with Fujisawa. Hagiwara is such a loveable character that is definately able to heal the broken Sei.
The main couple Yang Zi Xiang & Jiang Shao Peng was cute and sweet but the standout for me is definately the side couple Jonathan & Wang Xin Jia. Jonathan's wise, firm and scheming nature contrasts widly with Xin Jia's impulsive, naive and a little bit dimwitted personality. I enjoyed their storyline the most as Jonathan slowly plots to make Xin Jia his, what a wiley fox he is... 😂
This movie is trying to do something similar with Your Name Engraved Herein (2020). They are both LGBTQ themed movies based in Taiwan's past, however this movie focuses more on the close friendship between a straight guy and a gay guy and their personal growth plus a side story on a transgender person. It is more of a story about personal growth (with a one-sided love) and thus BL watchers may find this movie unsatisfying if you are looking for a romance plot.

Wow that is a wild theory but I don't think that Fuji had a hand in Sei's parents deaths. I think he is just a person that saw Sei hurting and was there at the right moment and right time to slowly take control of his life. Fuji promises Sei that he will take care of Sei forever with the only condition that they do not have a physical relationship. However, the exact nature of their relationship is deliberately ambigious (neither just close friends nor having the status as lovers).
Yes, Sei definately goes along with Fuji passively partly due to shock over his parent's deaths and partly due to his latent love for Fuji. However, finding Hagiwara gives him the final push to awaken himself and leave Fuji's control.
