They didn’t even try to hide that it’s a fake out. There were so many hints about that, everyone except FL…
FL finds out about the concubine pretty quickly (within the same episode?) but, yeah, ML got too busy with hunting bad people so he forgot to tell her. About fake death — both ML & Dad decided not to tell FL because bad people would be watching carefully (and they did watch for 2+ months), so they needed FL to behave naturally. That really sucked for her, I agree, but FL’s character may not have been able to pull off the deception and playing a grieving daughter. At any rate, I’m glad we are at the home stretch now :)
The fact people get convicted by hearsay before even being able to defend themselves or show any evidence is actually…
To be fair, the bad guys did a great job setting up the General to be the fall guy. He did recruit local volunteers and the dam did collapse killing many people and causing devastation. So he’s technically at fault according to their law’s & regulations. Of course, the reason the dam collapsed is because bad guys blew it up. But all the evidence got washed away… And for the smuggling/treason accusations there was physical evidence of bribery (gold) and communication with the enemy (letters). And, most importantly, General’s second-in-command convincingly lied to the Emperor. Having said all of that, it’d still make more sense to wait until General arrives in the capital so he could rebuke accusations.
Do His Majesty knows about the fake death? Also, what happened to the Marquise at the end? Do the world know he…
Fo what it’s worth, in the drama FL was told g by her dad, I think) that the Emperor is not aware of the fake death. But we don’t know for sure. This is a pretty light drama so if there’s no happy ending everyone will be disappointed.
Yunyi is only concubine in name. She is a shadow guard under ML's fraction. Her actions are weird and not your…
They could probably get the Emperor to bestow a noble title on 3FL to make her more acceptable to 3ML’s family (make her some sort of a princess). But, again, this is a pretty light drama, so maybe they won’t worry about that.
I have not seen this FL actress works before but she is so friggin cute & has portrayed her character brilliantly…
If you like modern dramas, check out “Fake It Till You Make It”. It’s a great drama about relationships (FL & ML are busy professionals around 30). The FL actress in this drama is 2FL in that drama (younger sister of lead character) and she was very good in that role.
This FL is a good mixture of dumb but not entirely hopeless. She knows when to ask the right questions. She knows…
FL here is not even dumb, she just has her own areas of expertise. She has managed her family’s household for the last 5 years (since she was 12), she successfully plotted to get out of arranged marriage, she is investigating smuggling, etc. True, FL doesn’t know how to fight but that’s pretty reasonable for a noble lady who grew up in the capital.
Everyone who liked this drama — make sure to watch the 25th extra/special episode (“Our Secret Extra” here on MDL). It’s 20 minutes of almost completely new material that covers the three main couples and what happens after the end of the 24th episode.
Is this good? Whats with the synopsis? Is ML emperor? i got so many on my plate but I wanna know if its worth…
ML is Emperor’s cousin and trusted friend. ML is a decorated general and FL’s father is a great military man too. There are many conspiracies and bad people trying harm our heroes but think of this as a much lighter version of “The Prisoner of Beauty” :) ML & FL are very good together and there is a funny second couple (FL’s best friend and ML’s friend).
Is there gonna be a concubine for ML? And they will separate? Novel readers, hello.
From episode 13 it’s pretty clear the “concubine” is a bodyguard to protect the FL. But ML is too busy getting punished so FL think it’s a real concubine.
Is this worth watching? Apparently the FL(idk who she is) is good at microexpressions, but im iffy bout watching…
Only 13 out of 30 episodes have been released but so far it is pretty good. It’s more on a lighter comedic side as opposed to something very serious. But there are still conspiracies and bad people trying to do bad things to our heroes.
