So, basically, FL is a vampire 🧛‍♀️🤣

Their job is to make money. If they think something needs to be changed to make it better (or cheaper), they will do it. At the time the drama aired, speculation was that the ending was like that to either set up Season 2 and/or to save money on CGI/VFX.

iQIYI provides funding, so they have some degree of control (similar to how Hollywood movies are sometimes changed based on studio feedback). And apparently with The Demon Hunter’s Romance iQIYI asked to change the ending that was in the script to a different ending. That’s why the last 1-2 episodes feel completely different to many people; it may have been an acceptable ending if prior episodes were written to support it but they were written with something else in mind.

Can’t speak about the body differences, but supposedly no one really knew FL’s real voice since she spoke through the mask. Now, FL’s brother is without a mask so voice may sound differently. But, like another person said, there are some things in this drama you have to look past. It’s a very good drama (so far), but not always perfectly logical.

The ending scene with both adult and child leads is very sweet 🥰

The charm of the leads and supporting actors (even the Princess & Master Liu) carries the show and makes us forgive these, ahem, creative liberties. Honestly, I’d rather have this compared to some nonsense tropes that drama writers love to include.

Same with Master Liu dying. He really did NOT need to be the only one protecting that secret entrance. It’d make more sense for there to be a squad of people with him, at least. So, very enjoyable show, but writers could’ve been slightly more logical.

Rescue scene, not kissing scene. Rescuing like that is totally appropriate per ML’s logic; kissing — not. 🤣🤣🤣

Really enjoy this drama, but its hilarious to see FL riding a horse in ankle-deep water and 10 seconds later slowly drowning in deep, deep water 😳😁🤣

Fans of this drama would prefer for the white truck to have a meeting with FL’s ex-bestie. That way FL’s brother could be with FL’s nice current bestie (Tian Tian).

I think when it came out it was all “sneak peek”, but yeah, I’d not pay extra just for that.

All good for now and trailer for ep. 16 looks good too. But, of course, eventually there will be SOME drama once FL find out ML is also from the future.

It’s a 1 min 20 sec video with clips from some just-aired and upcoming episodes. So you aren’t missing anything — it’s not a juicy behind-the-scenes like they have for when FL is trying to open a bathroom door when ML just got out of the shower (after they went camping).

The injury scene was kind of ridiculous. They didn’t even try to make it realistic 😳

That girl quickly becomes not very relevant and even when she appears you can watch her scenes on 1.5x or 2x speed. But, yes, writers aren’t doing a good job of making us care about her.

If you check out SURPRISE video ln YOUKU’s app, those subtitles give more context. If I understand it correctly, it’s a play on ML’s last name (Lin). FL is basically asking how to make ML come back to her. Something along those lines 🤓
