In my opinion chemistry is def there, but making romance between 3 domineering person with a scheming political background makes it hard to land. But I actually prefer this kind of difficult task than the easy swooning mood they had in shadow love. But once again, each people have their taste and level of appreciation.

Meanwhile, FL was killing to save her life, and she saved hers too in the process.

I love that the this thread while acknowledging how annoying the princess is , still understand her character. I have to say I found the first meeting with SML was great, and worthy of a crush, and as a princess who has no control over her marriage, marrying her crush who happens to be her brother s and country enemy is even slighter. So if she get this chance, it's quite normal for her to cling to it. And I think she was really hurt when she knew her brother did agree the marriage not because he was supporting her, but because he wanted to trap her future husband. Which would make it more difficult for her to win his heart. That said, the line she is walking to her doom is so thick that she has to delude herself to not seeing it. I don't know if this couple s story will have an happy ending or will be a complete tragedy , but it s obvious she will suffer a lot before whatever ending waiting for her actually happens.

They did not show him shooting her so far. They just showed us he was pointing his weapon at her, and was the last person she saw when falling. If they wanted to show us he personally shoot her, they would had included it in the flashback scène, even if he had valid ready to do so ( that would be explained for future episodes). But they did not show us that he was the one who shoot the arrow. Maybe there is another twist in this scene, or the production though it was obvious enough to show he was the shooter lol

The conversation he had with the emperor shown he is greatly insightful. And he seems quite scheming too. He is poisoned, maybe by a manipulator who keeps feeding him periodic antidotes, and he is not taking any..making you believe he had is own ways to outsmart his manipulator. Besides, he is very proper and respectful with the princess when she tried to throw herself at him the first time they met. And he seems to really care for FL, even after knowing he was on the scene of her assassination. So for now, I ll give him some point and hope he doesn't turn out to be your typical pathetic villainous second male lead
