JBZ & MY grew up in abusive environments. he had never experienced sincere love, literally everyone around him took advantage of him, even MY first came to him with hidden motives. so that’s what he wanted, and also said in ep28 right, he wanted a sincere love. he doesn’t want her to love him because he saved her. he wants to be loved for who he is.
but anyways yes i agree if he had communicated then the story would be over hahaa. it’s okay a little angst is good cardio exercise lol 😂.

i think that’s sort of the theme right, all of these characters (and i mean all) have tragic backstories, but it’s more of like the conscious moral choice of being good and principled rather than resorting to evil ways. also the other message is when you have power you can choose to abuse it or do good.

i think i saw embers when he attacked, so he was probably testing if embers would protect her or not. it was only a split second tho so it may be wrong, we’ll see

honestly i thought it was quite obvious that the female lead is strong, crafty and strategic. like that’s why she was able to save him when he passed out. she’s just still poisoned, hopefully they will show it later
