I think she feels a bit out of place because she’s the only one who’s naive, sunny and bubbly. This creates contrast and will be super satisfying when her character grows and matures at the end of the series. Anyways, watching her being funny actually is quite entertaining, no wonder xwy fell for her, she actually makes his bleak life much more colorful.

the ML is haggard because he is battle-worn. the ML said in an interview that since the first episode, XiaoWuyi has entered a countdown of his life. Realistically he should look like a dying man hahaha

In this sort of work, there are greater overarching themes that is discussed and highlighted, like loyalty, understanding and mutual support. IF this is not your cup of tea and you prefer explicit movies, please don’t linger here and please don’t ruin the discussion page for people who actually care for it. Find your happiness elsewhere.
