Just began it because I've been watching First Frost, but I'm confused. How old is the FL supposed to be in the first few episodes? The young girl said she was 14 but she looked to be 10. Then the FL is supposed to be 17 but she acts like she's 14? Not trying to be icky...I just don't understand. ML is supposed to be about 5 years older than her, right? Clarification would be appreciated....

I was a teacher for many years, and I almost never left my students unattended for more than a minute or two. We would supervise the halls and restrooms on breaks. My students never had a lot of free time, either. I don't know how these students have so much free time.

I've never heard of this one. Did Youku decide not to promote it for some reason? It sounds kind of interesting....

I just looked there and didn't see it. I'm in the US...

Is there some place to watch all the episodes with English subtitles? I don't think all of the episodes are on youtube. I'm having a hard time finding it, which surprises me....

Agreed, I hope he finds a good fit somewhere else so we can see him in better roles and in better productions.

Honestly I think this might've been a good role for him if the production quality was better. It's unfortunate that the people in post production did such shoddy work.

I'm surprised that he doesn't seem to be in many released dramas recently. I wonder if that was his choice, or if they've been stockpiled by IQIYI or the other companies that produced him. But you are correct...his agent is not doing a good job. He has excellent stage presence for a young man, in addition to acting talent and good looks. I really cannot imagine why he's not getting more roles unless his agency is incompetent. I suppose maybe he's interested in doing other things besides acting, but still... it seems that his abilities are being wasted, and that's a shame.

I think the original idea for the story wasn't too bad but it was ruined by awful post production work. That being said, I think WRC needs a new agent that can help him pick roles that will showcase his talent better. I hope this role won't impede his casting in better roles the future. He does well with this role, considering what he was given to work with, but MO it's like the company set out to fail with this series, and they're dragging the actors down with them.

It annoys me that the production doesn't seem to be as well done as it should've been. I was looking forward to watching WRC in a leading role. I hope this drama doesn't hurt his chances at getting another lead in a drama.

Agreed. Even if they overdub with the actor's own voice, it would produce a better sound quality.

If I remember correctly, WRC made a BL series called Dreamcatcher a couple of years ago and it's never been aired in China. BL/GL stories are considered a no-no for tv programs.

Some of the actors are using their own voices so that may be the root of the problem since they weren't dubbed.

He's using his own voice and it seems like he's having a lot of fun with the role. Unfortunately the production quality is somewhat lacking.

I wonder if the grandfather who ran the music show came back somehow and put together this wild plan so his granddaughter would meet his favorite student...

I just finished watching this last night, and I'm getting ready to watch it again. (Because I use subtitles I feel like I miss stuff the first time through.) I agree that it would've been nice to have one more episode but I guess they decided to leave us wanting more instead of us thinking it was too long. I was confused during the first two episodes since time was jumping back and forth but eventually I really got involved in the story. It was entertaining, and it made me think about some stuff as well.

I think her mom 'sold her soul' to find a husband. IMO her mom was worried about being a poor widow so she married the first guy that came along and then let his daughter rule the roost at the expense of her own daughter's happiness.
