I agree. It felt out of place for a historical drama, especially one involving upper classes.
Thatās not what Iām referring to. Yes, it was in private but I was talking about us viewers. I rarely see that much in historical dramas (the ones Iāve watched) regardless where they display the affection.
Omg thank you for saying that. I am glad someone else feels the same way. I kept waiting for it to get better…
True, thereās the attractiveness as you said⦠but then there are dramas where the actors are good looking like the recent one āPrincess Gambitā but the majority found the drama disappointing.
I think itās because the little prince knows that the emperor is an impostor.
Yes, heās the real emperor twin who was hidden outside of the palace. Thatās why he can emotionally blackmail the queen mother with the āam I not your son?ā
I suspect he is the son of the emperorās twin. Thatās why he was being poisoned since young as Wan mentioned.…
Idk how they will make the ending in the drama. Iām assuming that the truth will be revealed that he is an imposter so he cannot stay. His sons cannot take over (one is a criminal and the other one is weak with a criminal mother). The blind prince cannot take over so Chi will be next in line for the position. I believe because of her family lineage sheās not a noble by blood so cannot be called empress? Idk but i doubt heāll have another wife.

Iām joining you with this review, I agree with all of it. I dropped this drama around episode 20 or so⦠I think most of the high reviews come from desperation. Itās been a while since weāve had great solid good drama from start to finish and the good ones are rare. Thatās why when people are served ok visuals and below average but not horrible scripts, they are overjoyed and exaggerate. I fell for that until I started rewatching old masterpieces and compared them to writing, editing and acting of current āmasterpiecesā, you canāt even compare without feeling like you are insulting real masterpieces.
