If the roles were reversed, I wonder how people would react to a love story about a divorced man having a fling with a high school girl he had taken in and helped raise.
The kissing scenes looked hot when I came across them on social media but the actual story gave me the ick. My biggest issue, though, is the pacing. It's painfully slow. This kind of story would work much better as a short drama with tighter pacing and less filler.
This is the kind of story with a lot going on but I kept wondering if I really needed to know all of it just to be entertained.
I liked both leads and tried to stick around for the visuals or at least until the first kiss but I just couldn't. Dropped. I hope these two work together again, because visually they're a perfect match
First of all, I need to know where this was filmed because it's absolutely gorgeous and aesthetic. I loved the drama and the sexual tension was impeccable😭
Some people dislike the FL and I get that she's unconventional but no one says that the ML isn't the usual type either. That's why I liked them. They felt evenly matched. It wasn't a case of one complex character paired with an idealized fantasy. I think people of the same wavelength belong together and that balance is what made their relationship so compelling. Plus, the short episode count meant no unnecessary dragging.
Too melancholic and slow for me. Once the gloomy phase starts, you just know it's going to be more sadness and another round of ghosting
As a woman, it's natural to empathize with Yifan but I can't help feeling for Sang Yan too. Still His endless "green flag" behavior and the overall melancholy started to feel almost performative.Like he never even tried to find out why she abandoned him and she stayed connected with her other friends, both male and female but he was always the one she dropped like a hot potato everytime😭
I don't think anyone needs to worry about the ratings. If the drama is genuinely good, no amount of bots or haters can suppress it forever. The ratings will eventually rise
None of those so-called 'traffic' actors are that good anyway. Most of them have issues with basic acting skills…
I wasn't expecting life changing acting anyway. I watch idol dramas, so I already know that both visuals and acting matter to me. My main issue is that particular expression. I wish I could post a clip of it here because it's hard to explain. She's perfectly fine in most other scenes expect that which makes the character she's playing look fake. Maybe that's why she was perfect in tteotm
Maybe Chen Duling's acting just isn't my type. This is the fourth drama I've watched of hers and I still feel like she only has a handful of expressions. What's confusing is how loved she is on X. Male actors get torn apart on X for having limited expressions, so I started wondering if I was judging her too harshly. She also makes this awkward expression sometimes and I can't tell if she's trying to portray anger, disgust, shyness, sadness or something else entirely.

Umm...I didn’t say that? They only had about two scenes in the last six episodes. I know quite a lot of people kept watching till the end because they wanted to see how their story would end, since the main couple’s ending was easy to predict. Tbh I barely knew what was going on in the last eight episodes. The goodwill built up by the earlier episodes was keeping me hooked

Qimin and Qianqian only had about 45 minutes of total screentime, the length of one single episode. I wouldn’t call that a lot. Maybe their scenes were impactful enough that people remember them as having much more screentime than they actually did
ZLH was gone (meaning not appearing in scenes) for about 40% of this drama, considering he’s the ML. Was he…
When it was airing, I heard that a lot of ZLH’s scenes were cut. Maybe they had to keep more of the female lead’s scenes because her character was still developing, so they ended up sacrificing some of the male lead’s scenes
The drama focused almost entirely on his profession, with barely any romance. The angsty setup hooked me at first but the leads indecisiveness killed my interest. I doubt all their scenes together would even add up to 8 eps. This drama was a waste of my time. 40 eps of same thing repeating again and again
I don’t usually like soft spoken or shy female leads but for some reason Wang Churan really stands out. Maybe the voice is dubbed but there’s something about her body language that I can’t quite describe, I just really liked the vibe but not the character tho😭 She was very indecisive
I watched quite a few drama teasers today and this was the only one that felt a bit too normal ig. Nothing about the story really stood out or made me want to watch immediately. The synopsis also sounds very political and nothing about it really stands out as interesting
