I like this drama but I feel like Darim gives zero fucks about him. I get that she has bigger fish to fry and honestly, as a woman watching a romcom, I don’t mind when most of the emotional work comes from the male lead. But Darim is literally putting in 0%. She doesn’t seem to care about him at all while he’s going crazy for her. It's making him look pathetic than the cute loser in love. I was hoping something from her as now it's already ep 7. I would’ve been fine with her character if she had taken even one step toward him.

I know they’re trying to show him as a good guy but Ji hyeok calling Seon u and Ha yeong names because from his point of view they’re cheating is ironic, as if Darim wasn’t the first one to cheat.

If you think watching thrillers makes you better than people who watch romcoms and you keep calling them “Cinderella stories" respectfully, it just makes you look dumber. There’s a reason different genres exist.

I'm sorry but people who watch any japanese content on a daily basis are deranged anyway and even they agrees that It's "different" than other things. Another thing is that they’re animation, while this one has real humans.With the way anime has normalised pedophilia, It's better to not compare them with kdramas

I wouldn’t say she’s ugly but when I found out she used to be an idol, I was honestly surprised. I always thought only the really pretty ones became idols.

And that’s why we need comprehensive skills. I said they had a smaller audience and their ratings have been like that from the beginning. When the worst Kdrama romcom used to start at 8.2 or 8.3 before. I’m a short Cdrama watcher myself and yes, Jdrama sucks.

I don’t think disliking the FL makes someone a hater. She’s clearly not written as a positive character, so if people dislike her, it actually means the actress has done a great job portraying her. I don’t get why others are getting so offended over those opinions.

And they’ve been like this from the start, so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that system. Jdramas have a smaller audience (thankfully) and short Cdrama watchers watch them out of habit since they recycle the same stories, so it’s understandable.

No one’s infantilizing her. The whole age gap issue is about how bad they look together on screen. People try to sound woke about everything these days. Now we can’t even criticize a mismatched couple in a fictional story.

Lol no, you seem to be forgetting how much hate Lee Min Ho’s latest drama got even before it premiered.

I haven’t watched it yet but I saw knetz dragging a scene from the drama on Twitter where the female lead gets lovestruck by the male lead and it looked really unrealistic.

If you visit the comment sections of dramas from other countries, you’ll see that some people literally have no life. They’re active there all the time, even on dramas that ended ages ago. While I agree that Kdramas this year haven’t been at their best, it’s still strange how certain shows like even this one that used to start with at least an 8.2 rating(if they were mid) are now starting from 7.3. It just doesn’t seem normal.

If this drama’s rating starts with a 7, I’ll be convinced my conspiracy theory is right... that certain fandoms are downrating Kdramas in groups.
