omg why are these dramas getting shorter and shorter😭 like I get that most modern dramas especially the ones from a few years ago had a tendency of getting draggy but a lot of the recent dramas actually have enough material for an at least 30-episode storyline but so many things are left unaddressed😭 each episode better be 2 hours long😅

yeah i’m kinda disappointed in that last episode or arc. it’s not even that they didn’t have enough episodes, it’s the fact that they didn’t use the time they had to address key aspects of the leading characters’ pasts especially the ML’s. instead time was spent on a (no offense) third couple romance that, quite frankly, I didn’t care about. I still maintain that this is one of my favorite business dramas, I liked the characters but the story, especially the end could have been better. The ending was not that satisfying. Are they gonna be together or what? have they resolved anything? They both seem quite lost and I feel like the story did not address that at all. I don’t mind an open ending but I don’t think we needed one here. I’m so tired of endings that fall short😭 I get so anxious when I’m enjoying a drama because I am afraid that the ending is gonna get ruined somehow. I still gave it an 8/5 because I did enjoy it for the most part. I also enjoyed the leading actors

I would have preferred it if they abandoned the 3rd couple storyline and instead gave us more scenes with the leads. this drama is already short, dramas with more episodes than this sometimes don’t even have a third couple

maybe if they had an additional 4 episodes, they could have explored this. I also feel the same way

omg right. This drama is so amazing. Maybe it’s because I’ve been considering working in consulting because I even enjoy the business talk. I love how their relationship is portrayed. it’s so refreshing dealing with 2 straight forward adults who say what they mean. The FL is incredible, I love how she’s written, she’s definitely one of my favorite FLs in a modern drama. Do people understand that there exists various portrayals of romantic love? not everything has to be intense. I for one love their dynamic

interesting. where I live I think it comes out around 11a.m so I’m prefer waiting until the end of the day. it feels like a reward

I hope we get more time since there’s still like 8 episodes to go. also we don’t need to spend so much time with the second couple anymore since they are kinda together now

oh my goodness I don’t think I’ve ever cried this much watching a drama. the beginning and ending of this drama were so well done. Human beings can really be beautiful. props to the incredible Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan. I see why they’re both well respected actors. Their acting was so natural and they really felt like a real couple. Also the actors that played the fl’s parents were also incredible. they felt like a real family. The wedding was also beautiful. This is a simple story that tugs at your heartstrings. It made me think about my own relationship with my dad, both my parents and just how special these bonds are and how they can transcend something as final as death.

I like the friendship between Xu Chi and Zhao Heng. they are so funny together 😂😂

I feel the same. it’s such a gem. I’m enjoying all the interactions. it’s so refreshing watching a show without constantly getting frustrated with the characters

I swear the episodes are never long enough for me. they always leave me wanting more😭 I think this is my favorite modern drama of the year

yeah, I just hope she cuts him off soon. whatever they are planning, it’s not gonna work out cause she’s too smart. If Ma Ke is actually still planning something he deserves whatever happens to him🙄

he is a coward and I don’t think they would work as a couple. he’s trying so hard to prove himself because I think he’s a bit insecure about the fact that Xu Chi is excellent at her job

I love the fl so much. I love the way she thinks, they way she handles problems. I was really sad for her after the situation with Ma Ke and I thought she would reach out to her mentor for advice. But she’s handled that whole situation like a pro. Also Yang Rui is so pathetic actually. She needs to cut him off like ASAP. As for her and Ye Xin Zhi, ofcourse I want them together but I don’t mind waiting a little longer. I think she needs to establish herself more professionally before they can start something. I would prefer to wait than for them to get together prematurely and break up. I wanna see more of them together but I get why we are not getting it right now
