omg I’m loving the second couple. there were a lot of rage bait moments in the last episode so it was nice to see them have a moment🥰 also how does the left chancellor have the sweetest family? His wife and son are so funny and adorable. it was nice seeing the wife of the left chancellor, another alumnus of The Double. this actress is always playing the best and most loveable characters. I was so happy with the end when the emperor did what he did. They can’t keep my good sis Meng Ting Hui down. Grown ass men who can’t handle losing so they have to resort to dispicable methods just to get rid of her🙄. Right chancellor being a perv, comme d’habitude. can’t say I’m surprised. I’m gonna need Zhi Li to file a restraining order because he stays proper pissing me off

I loved loved He Yu in this. He was so shameless in the best way. And his eyes were always full of yearning🥺 and he was so funny in this. He did amazing. And I also enjoyed “the rebirth queen“ Meng Zi Yi in this. I loved how strong of a character she was from beginning to end.
However, there were some things I didn’t like. Yeah yeah I know they explained it but i did not like their little attempt at a redemption arc for the Fifth Prince. That man was deranged, acting like he had dibs on Xi He or something. Like I get it, she was your wife in her former life or whatever but sis clearly did not like you. If she did,you would have been the first person she would have looked for after her rebirth. His actions towards were really uncomfortable to watch and I’m so sorry but him saying he did that so she could gain ultimate power is not that convincing to me🤷♀️ yeah right. Why is Jeremey Xu always playing these type of characters. I can’t stand some of his characters tbh. No hate to him as an actor though.

All caught up and man I’m enjoying this. The story is great so far, the chemistry is amazing and I’m so invested. No, like I don’t think you guys understand, the rage I feel when I see these women being mistreated. I love that we are getting little wins along the way and I can not wait for the final bosses to meet their comeuppance.

I tried to stick to the Mango TV episodes but episode 9 was my final straw. even if they are a little behind, I will now be watching the episodes on Viki, I was a little behind so I was able to watch episode 7 on Viki and I can confirm that the subs there are way way way better
