It was nice to see how angry she got when she realized Concubine Lu’s brother was behind what had happened to the ml. I have never seen her get angry like that, she truly cares for Zhao Ling. Also I literally stood up to give an applause when the ml ended that perv. I didn’t think he would go that far but boy I loved it. Concubine Lu needs to stop shouting all the time. Does she think think if her voice is the loudest in the room, things will go her way?

Lady Zuo being sent back to the Fu family is the punishment she deserves. I agree with the fl, why involve other innocent people? I know she’s been through a lot but that doesn’t give her the right to treat others poorly. I will say though, I am grateful she finally exposed Yu Jing Xiu as the mastermind behind the fl’s misfortune. It’s been bothering me how he’s managed to get away with it for this long.

And omg I love how our girl has been collecting these confessions like infinity stones😂

Yeah she’s definitely a well written character, I understand why she does what she does but it’s still infuriating 😂

I just wish they hadn’t left it for the end you know. I think the placement was awkward

yeah I see what you’re saying and I agree that she’s ultimately an enemy but at least she doesn’t unjustly blame the fl for things that go wrong. At least that’s why I “prefer” her at this point in the plot. also maybe because she is not in the same place as the fl at the moment so there are no direct confrontations. I’m really looking forward to seeing what’s gonna happen to the son.

And you are right about Yake, I enjoy seeing her screw up her life with every step she takes😂

ok maybe frenemy is too nice but I guess for me I prefer her to the other antagonists because she’s self aware. she doesn’t lie to herself the way Yake and Lady Zuo do. She has her ambitions and she does what she needs to do. Her actions against the fl e.g sending Zuo to her are of course cruel but logical. She doesn’t have this deep rooted and irrational hatred for the fl that the others have. it’s more like she’s just playing a game of chess and she maybe even respects the fl as an opponent

I couldn’t believe my ears when her brother was blaming his and her misfortune on Tingyun. Like excuse me? She almost died because of you, whatever punishment they faced was deserved. Was she supposed to just sit back while they screwed up her life? Despite being in the same city as them, Tingyun kept to herself doing her own thing. She has every right to make their lives miserable for what they did to her but she chose to focus on herself and they still came after her

Lady Duo and Yake competing against each other every episode to see who’s gonna piss me off the most 🙄 I hate to say the rage bait is working on me😤

Also am I the only one who sees Lady Yu as a frenemy rather than as an enemy? I really like the actress. I feel the character admires the fl but is also guarded against her. I still hate her because she’s to blame for this whole mess with Zuo. However, I do kinda like it when she terrorizes Yake. she’s Yake’s karma

right! it pisses me off that that Yu boy is just going around messing things up and no one seems to notice. if they had just investigated further, they would know he’s been the one making moves

it’s over😭 I did not expect the last 6 episodes to drop at once. I really enjoyed this drama, another Wu Jin Yan masterclass. CZY was of course incredible here too. They both in different instances moved me with their performances. Maybe 40 episodes would have been ideal to deal with that last arc but I still think it’s a really good drama. I’m not mad at the ending, I feel like it made sense for this story. The ml and fl do love each other but they are also both very dedicated to the greater good. I think Meng Ting Hui deserved that break from court after everything she experienced with those officials and later with her people. Sis was TIRED. I like to think that after returning to court, they continued to work together and eventually got married

Yake is so determined to embarrass the fl but my girl stays winning. Yake just keeps digging a deeper hole for herself. Her mother in law doesn’t even like her and those ladies she’s trying to impress will never let her in.

I think she’s been faking it since Mengmeng and Anian told her about him. but she still professed her love before then which was weird. I thought she was finally starting to like Anian.

And I agree, he’s a good actor
