I just finished it… I think that it lacks a lot of things for me. I agree, that all couples have really good chemistry here, also the cinematography is so beautiful together with visual! But…The story, it feels that it doesn’t move, just stands. nothing much is happening, you can already know what will happen; For me nothing felt engaging, only the second couples which is just few minutes. maybe I skipped too much? but it didn’t felt that I skipped anything tho.
EDIT: the most important thing in drama, is the characters and story. Here the story was meh, the characters were good, but I couldn’t connect with them, mostly with the main couple (FL and ML) for me they were interesting at first and then so boring…It felt that they lost something midway (near end, after Yuanqing dead everything was starting to be more and more less interesting )
People are saying that everything is ugly (chi, cinematography, make up) But I find it so beautiful ! it’s so nice to see that they are not using ai! The view is incredible! It’s just that I’m on ep4 and can’t get too much into the story, I skip some parts, I don’t rlly like the senior sister.

I’m not sure about comedy but you might like the romance of tiger and rose (not on iqiyi tho), either way your gonna like it or hate it. I’m sorry for taking so much time, but it feels you have watched every single drama 😭🤣 umm it’s not highly romance, but you might like strange tales of tang dynasty, they are old ones Legend of condor heroes (there are a lot of version, they are old, but this writer started first wuxia dramas and it’s super popular in China, almost every citizen knows it!). I wanted to recommend the untamed but u alr have seen it, what about tales of dark river? Short dramas, but high budget is twelve letters and reborn (both with Zhou Yi ran) they are only 12eps, if im not mistake, i really enjoyed them, also the bad kids (slice of life). If more thriller-romance: The seven relics of ill omen, Turquoise Land ( I prefer this one)

Btw I’m not sure if u like, but there is novel, 攻玉/Inverted Fate TBA; I rlly enjoyed it, I hope there will be adaptation.
EDIT: forgot to mention u might like to try fox spirit matchmaker series, they are connected but u wont understand the connection if u haven’t seen the anime or manhua. I think love in pavilion is the best of all of them. (it’s xianxia)
