ML is the easy-going type, but means business when needed. I've watched all episodes so far, and he seems to be…
The ML with brain power plot reminds me of Xiao Se in BOY 👀

I hope there are going to be plot twists like something that XQS does not anticipate yet.

Title The Journey of Legend Spoiler
Red phoenix will soon be come their friend as I think 🤔🤔
I was hoping this too initially. But red phoenix seems too... sociopathic to turn good and become their friends.

The drama seems to depict one FL (Tang Fan) who seems egotistical with constant RBF on the outside, but would eventually warm up and help XQS, and one FL (red phoenix) who seems calm and smiles a lot, but can slaughter people (sword king guards) without batting an eyelid 😅

Anyway, I love this juxtaposition of characters 😊💕 hopefully the drama script continues to deliver until the end

Title The Journey of Legend Spoiler
Honestly, I think by ep 7/8, XQS suspects Fang Leng isn't Fang Leng.
I initially thought that too. But when fake Feng Lang used the power gang sleeve skill (forgot the name) when they were getting out of town in disguise, XQS asked him how can fake FL use that skill. If XQS was suspicious, would he ask it so straightforwardly? 🤔 hmm let's see. Excited to find out how the rest of the story is gonna unfold 😊🥳

Same feels. I like Cheng Yi and was hoping this one is as good as his Mysterious Lotus Casebook but after watching…
Yeah.. IMHO although both MLC and this drama are wuxia, but they have different theme. MLC theme is more 'heavy' about loss, friendship, and acceptance. Meanwhile JOL is more lighthearted it seems, maybe more similar to Blood of Youth? But BOY has faster pace.

What is the ending like? is it a sad ending?
What's interesting with this story is that there could be few angles to it. When I watch the drama ending (the special episode), I was in agony. Not until I read the book ending, I felt so happy for LLH (because the text said he is very happy in the end 🙈 and that gave me huge relief).

Even though he is mostly blind and his right arm is paralyzed, but he still has fun fishing, playing chess with DFS. LLH still annoys FDB. I might be reading into it too much on the next part though, but I think LLH was just playing with FDB here pretending he forgets about him... LLH is his carefree self. Because it seems LLH still has his intelligence; he defeats DFS in chess games and remember the winning number of steps 🙈

Have been postponed watching it since last year. And last week, i picked it up and holy mother.. I'm hooked!!!…
I think Qiao Wanmian character situation feels so real, unlike other FL in other drama. It is fascinating to me.

She knew what she wanted from a relationship and back then both LXY and QWM wanted different things, they kind of grew apart. So QWM broke up with him. It relates in real life how we love the idea of someone, but when in a relationship with that person, things don't work out. She was able to take initiative to call it quits with such a brilliant man, it is quite different with the stereotype of usual FLs.

She isn't moping to beg LXY back to her, but she was begging him to come back to the sect. Her tears were full of regret as she blamed herself for his disappearance after the fight (the breakup letter). I feel like she was already over LXY ten years ago, but the sect (and jianghu) still needs their leader. What's left is only guilt now that he's gone. She also felt guilty towards LXY for relying on Zijin during her bereavement.

So after she got closure from LLH, she must have felt like heavy weight was lifted. She was looking for forgiveness from LXY/LLH. Afterwards she respected him as a comrade/friend.

I love how life-like the narrative was. On her wedding day she still uttered her annoyance to Su Xiaoyong about how irritating it is that someone could just up and leave everything behind. This is very girl talk and I love it, like even though we are over someone in real life, sometimes we still talk about how annoying they were in a passing.

One of the best Asian drama ever too too good, master piece We need more drama like this Any recommendations please?
Not exactly the same, but these case-solving dramas are also good:
Sleuths of Ming Dynasty, Strange Tales of Tang (season 1 and 2), Riverside Code at Qingming Festival (an underrated drama), and A League of Nobleman.

Wang Herun is really pretty! Her acting as a madwoman is so good!I love that Su Xiaoyong and the princess are…
Right? I love the female characters in MLC so much.

Qiao Wanmian was crying/regretful not because she wanted LXY back, she felt guilty because she thought she caused Sigu sect to lose their leader by sending the breakup letter before the fight. She halted her life because of it. She refused to believe LXY is dead. Only after she got closure from LLH, she could be free of the guilt. Afterwards she continued to respect LLH as a comrade/friend.

Jiao Liqiao as psychotic as she is, is not desperate. She is a strategic leader. She could be more ambitious, she just didn't want to. She clearly is ruthless and baseline insane as she wanted all men to want her. That's why she hated LXY for not giving her not even an afterthought. Rain Wang depicted Jiao Liqiao so perfectly here.

Also FDB's mom, Madam He is such a badass mom who taught FDB to be an upright human being. And FDB's auntie also 💕

why does di fei sheng look always look like he's in love with li xiang yi
I think it's because the concept of having a friend was so foreign to Di Feisheng. He was so competitive because that was the only way to survive his childhood. For so long he had considered Li Xiangyi as a fascinating 'object' to defeat, like the final round in a video game, if you will. So he got confused when LLH shows how much he is different now compared to LXY (I imagine DFS went like 'wait my toy object is not behaving as I expect him to') and also when LLH considered DFS as a friend. So DFS became protective of this interesting phenomenon that he found.

I just need to post appreciation comment to the screenwriter who helped elevate the female characters in this drama so much. None of the female characters is annoying, not even the villainess. All female characters in this drama has self respect. Usually female characters are often written as plot device only to highlight the ML, but that's not the case at all with MLC. I love this drama even more because of it !💕

They are very different. Coroner's Diary is a romance drama with investigation as the vehicle. The Wanted Detective…
I'm sold on your comment. Will definitely give The Wanted Detective a watch 👀

Title In Blossom Spoiler
Nice drama!I tried to complete the drama majorly because of the male lead.I really hope Chinese screen writers…
Yeah even though the original Yang Caiwei was only in the first two episodes, her character had already grown on us. After they switched bodies, I personally couldn't sense Yang Caiwei's presence anymore.

It's an open ending, you have to decide for yourself. I personally think they found LLH's body at the beach because…
He is alive in the end according to the book. He has deteriorated but still can have fun, fishing, play chess, and live a peaceful life. His friends (FDB, DFS, Shi Wenjue) come often to visit him

Every time I see new drama of other popular actor is about to be released on X date, I keep wondering how their dramas get to be released so easily without any hiccup 😅 they are popular too. Why Cheng Yi has it so hard 😮‍💨
