Certain characters are hated because they don't fit the beauty standards...its a sad world! Let's say he turns into a bad character...but the fact that he is being hated even before that is the proof of pretty privilege. There's people swooning over the obvious red flag villain. Its soo sad what the world has turned into

The ML isn't righteous (AND THAT PORYRAYAL IS DELIBERATE) and he wants revenge for the cruel deceit. That's the whole point of the drama.

The FL is technically more of a problematic person but your review was fully one sided...which...is common for some female viewers as they create parasocial relationships with female characters and put themselves in shoes of the FL. I am Nothing like the FL but I understand her and she's fun to watch despite her extremely problematic personality...and the case is SAME for the ML who is also imperfect as a character.

All of us have been watching it knowingly. HR? You are projecting some real life office experience...onto a love hate comedy. Oh dear!

There's a lot of difference between "should" and reality....especially when you have been lied to. This is why we watch dramas...to see how humans process complicated emotions. He isn't a robot who can switch off his feelings but he isn't pursuing her.

I love the OBVIOUS COMEDY of this drama...the black card thing especially, is extremely funny. 🤣 Two wackos!

I hate those MLs. This was a major reason why I moved towards chinese dramas from korean. I hate those perfect characters that don't exist in real life...both male and female. Also, i hate when women judge the drama based on "who deserves the woman" and create a parasocial relationship. A bit of relatability is fine but the characters should be judged objectively and this is very comedic

He can't control is feelings...but he can control his actions. So far, he hasn't made one move on her. If anything, he has tried hard to get rid of his feelings...which he got BEFORE THE REVELATION. He didn't even get the time to process his feelings properly and she was all up in his face as a "mother employee"

Naah ...hard disagree! Even as a woman, I find your perspective to be highly biased against the ML.
Firstly, she has fabricated her entire identity to him which is a total red flag for any employer. A cheating wife who hides her identity to f*** around ? Nah!

"I don't have a bf...but I have a husband". Really? That's a morally corrupt human being.

I don't know if you understand the fact that to him, getting into a relationship with a married woman is a major scandal which could have hurt his image in the workplace and make him into an immoral boss in general. Scandals like these CAUSE MAJOR LOSSES TO COMPANIES.

Instead of acknowledging the trauma of the deceit he has faced, she goes onto say that it was just a kiss and he should forget about it.

THAT'S A HUGE LIE. She could be sued for it and it obviously become a divorce ground which can get him involved as well.

No heir would associate with such a person! When he made a deal with her, he didn't put on a mask and the transaction was not one sided.

FORCED TO RESIGN? she doesn't even deserve the spot. The truth is, she has eaten up the job of a real mother. Hence, she has committed a SECOND OFFENSE which we know.

And to be honest, all of them weren't selected because they were meritorious or anything. They were selected for being THE WORST CANDIDATES for the job.

And honestly, her lying about her identity can never be forgotten or brushed aside because to him, she will remain a morally corrupt human who faked her identity TO GET INTO THE BED WITH HIM but eventually left

As for FORCING TO RESIGN...she isn't putting up with it because she's the victim, she's putting up with it because a) she should legally resign anyway b) she understands that nobody wants to work on a "mother baby themed PR team" product with someone who ain't even a MOM and its wrong for her to insist on staying there. c) No employer wants to work with a person who fakes their identity to get physical with men....A TOTAL PREDATOR.

Also, its a romcom...so the situations are supposed to be bizarre to create tension...

Why is this "news"... when someone giving something becomes news, its called publicity and marketing. When my grandma did the same, she made sure to say "be discreet with your kindness" but for millionaires, charity is an investment in publicity and reputation building on which they expect returns like "public favor" . I am not saying IU herself did it, its most likely her agency doing publicity but its crass nonetheless

Its surgery. The industry forces these young women to alter their looks. She has undergone wayy too many procedures now. People dance around this topic and don't name the obvious...like its voldemort or something. But, its pretty obvious and sad because she had always been pretty. People still watch her dramas because thankfully for her, its not her face that made them watch her...but her charms

That's probably a child with little understanding of mature dramas. The review for Joy of life is absolutely hilarious. That's one of the best dramas out there.

People must have lost it...this man is still hasn't crossed 30s...he's 39. That's nothing and is definitely not "old". Zhao lusi is also 27 and a veteran in industry now. Both are mature. I understand criticism of acting but i don't understand severe criticism of a man for being 39 especially when Zhao Lusi has previously done dramas like dating in the kitchen. That pairing felt odd to me because at that time, she was 20 and he was very old for her. By now, she herself as well as her character in the drama is mature. Funny thing is, PEOPLE ARE BEING RACIST to the chinese in the comments when we see pairings with even more age difference in Hollywood. Even in korean movies, this age gap is pretty normal.

I am loving it actually and it serves romantic fantasy quite perfectly. I don't care about religion but even I have to admit, that the writer chose THE WORST SETTING. All of this could have been avoided if she has used Nors mythology or chinese or greek mythology. Had she studied the blasphemy laws (where people have been literally be killed for blasphemy), she would have avoided the setting at all cost but I guess koreans are less familiar with the culture. Their society isn't run by religion so they have no idea how out of control things can get with something as simple as a name or a cartoon or even a fantasy story. Satanic verses writer was attacked for fiction....he still moves with security. She thought her intention was NICE so she will be spared but that was a big mistake.

I mean, blasphemy laws do exist and they do kill people. Like someone said, its a sad reflection of the dirty reality of the world

Its religious fanatics actually. Mdl gets hijacked by religious fanatics often...however, the drama is entertaining.
