People are just being too much in the comments. He is fine and these people think they are better than him...for torturing him for a statement he made... like ...10 years ago or something and have since clarified . Now, these holier than thou people in the comments have never made any problematic statement in their life though. They are "pretty" while he is ugly. My problem isn't with the criticism of his statement...but with HUMAN HYPOCRISY and their expectations that humans are either "pure angels" or trash...nothing in between. Also, we must love perfection and pretend we are perfect too and human growth is an alien phenomenon 😒

I can't be the only one who ABHORES Hong sister's writing. Its sooo bad. This drama had visuals and acting..that's it. KSH character had nothing. Absolutely no purpose and if he wasn't a great actor, this drama would have been unbearable to watch

Firstly, civilised people have a certain way of handling things. The argument happened and the creep stood up aggressively talking to his wife...He immediately ✋️ stopped him then and there. Then, his wife started to go too close to him and he stopped her too and said to the creep, "If you don't wanna play the game, you can go. We can meet another day" . That's how civilised people talk and end things without making a scene. Then, his wife ASSAULTED HIM. That trash deserved to be beaten but by the police. Assault charges are no joke especially when the evidence is there. After that, HE RIGHTLY ASKED PEOPLE TO NOT RECORD because guess who is getting framed...?? HIS WIFE! She raised the hand first. Then, she gets slapped in the chaos and when he turns around, the friend has already slapped him. Now its two vs 1...HE LITERALLY RUNS TOWARDS HER and catches her before she falls.

If they wanted him to be the villain (because he is in the novel), they shoukd have executed that scene better. His actions look normal there.

Its no use now because everything has been spoiled by novel readers.
Too bad that the ACTOR HAS AMAZING SCREEN PRESENCE. He'a gem of an actor.

It has been revealed now...those who read the novel or knew novel spoilers know that he cheated. That's why they were against him from the beginning. Its just that the actor is soo good that he was able to get people rooting for him before that. Lol!

So, its the novel. Why are novel readers ruining the drama for others by framing an innocent character in advance? The ML has hidden more and lied farrr more but people are more understandingof his reasons. What does that say? The husband is acting like every startup founder who works 2 jobs...one so that the family don't have to carry extra financial burden and 2nd so that he can secure his dream and the family future. That's REALISTIC. I am sorry but 2 jobs means you work like an a** . I get that its a drama but ...I personally know what its like to NOT BE A NEPO BABY AND BUILD SOMETHING FROM SCRATCH. You barely have time to eat. It takes an emotional toll on you and yet you have to continue because THERE'S PEOPLE COUNTING ON YOU...rooting for you. They have left their jobs for you. Some are working two jobs and others have taken salary cuts because of SHEER FAITH in you. Its scary,its overwhelming and its nothing dreamy and easy. Guy has it wayyy too tough!

Its okay...he is gonna be a cheater in the future according to the novel...so people are hating on him in advance

but personally, I was rooting for him because I empathize with his journey. I know what its like and what kind of support it takes. Literally takes a village!

Now she gonna end up with the nepo baby who is perfect and probably hasn't seen 10% of the struggle her husband has seen. They really undermine working class folks. Breaks my heart!

Bestie's husband has been declared a villain because some people ship her with the guy who fits the romance drama beauty standards more... people are literally talking about intuition and "vibes" coz so far, there's nothing. HE BETTER CHEAT or people will throw a tantrum and cancel him themselves for being a normal and realistic character when he should ideally become a terrible partner and give way to their pretty boy. Again, logic and realism in romance dramas is banned. They will still hate him even if he doesn't cheat. They are waiting for him to af up so she can choose that MLs friend over him. Like,i said, no need to go that deep. Its about pretty+pretty. Women will hate men for choosing women who fit beauty standards but after watching so many romance dramas, I equally hate women. I am an egalitarian now! This ain't the first time so many people want the character to be out of the picture by hook or crook because there's someone they find more handsome.

You're thinking realistically. That's not acceptable in romance fantasies. Here, "pretty with pretty pinterest couple" logic works. I have known a few startup founders. Some of them worked exactly like this guy. Two jobs! They have lost half their weight. It takes everything out of you. Literally everything and their partners have been very supportive too. China's startup culture boomed because of families like that. But forget logic here...I am telling you. ITS ABOUT LOOKS!! You're wasting your time.

I have seen people shipping the ML's friend with her...IYKYK...its about the "pretty couple" thing. The bias for looks is so bad that I genuinely feel like they might push him to the side. I have seen his previous work. He's a good actor and he's capable of creating sizzling chemistry with his romantic partner even when the script is meh! I was kinda shocked that he had a small role here. Judgment like this is the reason why all chinese actors have started looking like they have the same parents. Similar jaws, eyes and aesthetic. I don't wanna say this...but I can bet my money on the fact that this actor will be pressured to getting plastic surgery too..or they will stereotype him into either "cheater husband" roles.

Certain characters are hated because they don't fit the beauty standards...its a sad world! Let's say he turns into a bad character...but the fact that he is being hated even before that is the proof of pretty privilege. There's people swooning over the obvious red flag villain. Its soo sad what the world has turned into

The ML isn't righteous (AND THAT PORYRAYAL IS DELIBERATE) and he wants revenge for the cruel deceit. That's the whole point of the drama.

The FL is technically more of a problematic person but your review was fully one sided...which...is common for some female viewers as they create parasocial relationships with female characters and put themselves in shoes of the FL. I am Nothing like the FL but I understand her and she's fun to watch despite her extremely problematic personality...and the case is SAME for the ML who is also imperfect as a character.

All of us have been watching it knowingly. HR? You are projecting some real life office experience...onto a love hate comedy. Oh dear!

There's a lot of difference between "should" and reality....especially when you have been lied to. This is why we watch dramas...to see how humans process complicated emotions. He isn't a robot who can switch off his feelings but he isn't pursuing her.

I love the OBVIOUS COMEDY of this drama...the black card thing especially, is extremely funny. 🤣 Two wackos!

I hate those MLs. This was a major reason why I moved towards chinese dramas from korean. I hate those perfect characters that don't exist in real life...both male and female. Also, i hate when women judge the drama based on "who deserves the woman" and create a parasocial relationship. A bit of relatability is fine but the characters should be judged objectively and this is very comedic
