It’s a shame. It seems the actual ML is really in only in episodes 6.5-10. I guess I just thought we’d get something different than whatever this is. I shouldn’t be all that disappointed though. I really don’t feel like Netflix Originals invests in their scripts. They have more misses than hits for me.

Yeah I ended up increasing speed during the AI dating scenes because I don’t care about them and I don’t see them as value add. They shouldn’t have more screen time than the actual ML. It was disappointing. So there might just be about 4.5 episodes worth watching if 7-10 includes and focuses on the actual ML.

Same thoughts. He appears more in episode 6. I’ve only just started 7 so I don’t know if it’s short lived or not though, my fingers are crossed. At some point she goes through a whole montage of BFs so it’s hard to say exactly how many.

ETA - episode 7 seems to bring in the MLs POV so hopefully this drama will start getting somewhere.

Yeah that’ll happen with good and bad reviews on any drama. But if you have issues with negative reviews posted quickly then the same issues should apply to positive reviews as well.

To be fair, the drama dropped 7 hrs ago.

As someone who’s watched 500+ dramas I can assure you this drama is lacking. I’ll finish but the pacing feels off. We’re all allowed to have our own opinions though. I’m glad you really like it.

I’m feeling a similar way. I’ve just finished episode 4 but I feel like I’m still waiting for it to start. It’s odd.

And why does the only ML have less screen time thus far than the cameos?

The ML father broke in their home and threw a glass or vase, not sure. But he was taken in by police and an officer showed the ML the file he had on the brother and dad. The brother had been physically abused by the dad and the brother just didn’t want the ML to know and tried to shield him from it. The ML was shook and went home and found a scrapbook his brother made of him. He’d been keeping track of the ML and knew of all his accomplishments. The ML was shaken. It was emotional for him.

It’s roughly the first 30 min of episode 9. The development of the ML becoming a father figure to the nephew is undoubtedly carrying this drama.

That super fan office worker. At first I thought she was kind of annoying but she’s definitely grown on me. Shes hilarious and adorable.

Valid question. I don’t think I’m blaming her for it and I didn’t state that clearly at all. My fault. But I do think she doesn’t act with much emotion in general. You can’t really get a read on her. That worked for The Which, being all recluse and anti social. In a rom com though no emotion is harder to relate to or identify with. She’s not giving much. Could she be picking characters that are written that way? Im sure that’s a possibility too.

This particular drama was poorly written in every way, not the actors fault. They were probably bated like the rest of us.

Fully agree about 2521. Even the beginning of the drama tells you they didn’t stay together because her daughter had no clue and only learned about him through the diaries. If people thought it would be a HE, they were only fooling themselves.

I saw a comment earlier that this actress was better in supporting roles, she’s not main cast material. It was spot on. She’s not a FL. She really needs to hone her craft before taking on such roles.

Her working hours isn’t really the problem. It’s the way it’s been framed. Had this drama been about the struggles the two faced as instant parents, then working late and navigating that would be acceptable. We could understand and appreciate the struggles. But the writers didn’t do that, instead it became the start of a love triangle that never should’ve been.

They’ll have no reason to stop as long as someone is buying the scripts. We just now know who to avoid. But whomever greenlights these dramas and pays for them, they are the real problem.

6/10 is where I’ve landed thus far as well and for the same reason. I can’t imagine going higher with the next 2 episodes but it could certainly go lower!

I think they were both fantasizing the what could have been type scenarios if the other was with them. Like when he was at home he imagined them being with him eating dinner. That never happened because he just moved there but he’s fantasizing about what could be. She was doing the same.

I can see that. I wouldn’t say that’s the case for this drama though. Both the FL and the 2ML are hated equally in the comments. The ML is the only one with some solid character development and he’s has less screen time 🤦‍♀️

I think so too. She don’t make it clear to him so he’ll be back for sure. Hopefully that happens in the first 10 min then gone for good. He needs to go.
