“a students innocent crush on a teacher”. Why are you ignoring that line? An innocent crush is simply that. A one sided attraction that’s not pursued. It’s not reciprocated. It’s not something that turns into a full blown romantic relationship. It’s just a crush and you yourself have probably had 50 in your lifetime already. We all have them. Teachers, strangers, celebrities, friends. Innocent crushes are a normal part of everyone’s lives.

So all your friends in school that had crushes on their teachers ended up having a romantic relationship with them? Is that why you feel like it’ll happen? Crushes on teachers is hardly uncommon or unusual and in no way means there will definitely be a romantic relationship between them.
I’ve found this article quoting the director ““Although the title includes the word ‘romance,’ the main story is really about people going through growing pains,” the director said. “It captures various emotions and happenings beyond the BL theme — from friendships and conflicts to a student’s innocent crush on a teacher. I don’t think romantic feelings dominate the narrative,” he added.”
You’ve answered your own question. 6 years ago this hadn’t already been done numerous times already. The tropes…
I’m assuming you mean Perfect Crown and that’s probably doing well because the leads are what’s sold it. This drama has more or less of an unknown FL so people don’t have a bias towards her. They find bigger faults and willing to put up with less when they don’t already have love for an actor/ actress. That happens a lot with dramas. High profile leads can get a mid drama rave reviews because people are bias and generally unable to think objectively. Just look further into the comments on this one and you’ll see many people saying their watching strictly for the ML because they dislike the FLs character so much.
Just came back watching episode 2....and I don't understand why this isn't being hyped up more. I mean like 6…
You’ve answered your own question. 6 years ago this hadn’t already been done numerous times already. The tropes weren’t as tired. It’s now 2026 and we’ve seen this already 100x over. It’s hard to hype something that’s not fresh.
how tf are we getting a teacher - student romance plot in big 2026 is beyond me. i thought we ought to be this…
We aren’t getting a teacher-Student romance plot though. Its just a girl who’s writing a BL about her teachers. That’s the romance. It’s far too unserious for a romantic relationship to happen between them.
Still the funniest K-drama I've watched in a while. However, the weird romance vibes at the end of EP 8 gave me…
I don’t think a romance will happen between them. I think the vibe at the end was just her realizing that he’s not the jerk she thought he was. She’ll now grow a crush just like many other students her age have on their teachers. This drama seems too unserious for a teacher student romantic relationship.
This isn’t being sabotaged. Look at The Scarecrow drama. 4 episodes out and also a thriller, however, that one…
Some rate as a whole as they watch, some rate individual episodes and some dont rate until they finish. It’s all personal preference and evens out in the end.

According to the rating statistics. That drama started at 7.9 and it’s been hovering at about 7.8-8 since. So it’s really not changed much in 4 episodes. This drama however, started at 7.8 and now 7.5 so it’ll be interesting to see what the next couple of episodes will bring. Is it sabotaged or is it just poorly written? Time will tell.
Again dont ever rating and hate comments deceive you. Just give it a try to watch. A lot haters nowadays sabotaging…
This isn’t being sabotaged. Look at The Scarecrow drama. 4 episodes out and also a thriller, however, that one is rated 8. The difference? This one is very illogical so it’s understandable why it’s rated so much lower. If it wasn’t for PBY as the FL I’m not sure this would be rated as high as it is (currently 7.5).
seriously 8 ep is so criminal for yumi's final story ,, not forgiving such lazy move from the directors ... they…
I agree. We waited so long for this season only to have their actual relationship start at the end of the drama. We deserved atleast 10 episodes for a proper send off. We need more time with them and their cells! 😭
Yep and in a normal situation we would have expected her to be ready with a DNA test in hand. She chose to kidnap because she needed the baby to be a blood relation. But had she actually had one and it matched the chairman, he would have been suspicious and wondered why. This whole drama would be different had one actually been done.

Hopefully this helps you.
