So far I couldn't exactly get into it. Many danmei, especially historical are usually too long to make you understand everything. So far they've been info dumbing and things looks like they're going too fast. (Expected if they're producing 12 episode series)

Then we'll have the same basic storyline. And I'm sure there are other omegaverse stories which have what you want but tough luck cause they're not the one's written by Nongjian and the sister's adapted this one themselves.
One thing so far about Desire is that they're not holding your hand and walk you through the omegaverse world. If you don't know anything about this world and you bring your human mind when watching, you'll get bored, annoyed, and irritated. They're not censoring (the omegaverse world and vocabulary) to make you understand better.
Did you think a series with an Alpha and an Enigma will be full of rose petals and a walk to the beach? Then you'll be disappointed. Omegaverse is mostly about power dynamic, would a proud powerful alpha easily accept to be dominated by someone? I don't think so. So of course Hua Yong will be everything you'll hate in real life, he's a messed up character.
In the first 5 minutes of this series, he literally kidnapped Shaoyou's ex's and with that much psychological torture, you thought he was what? Your fairytale prince from Disney land? There are so many tags and they're supposed to give you a hint on what you're getting yourself into.

I actually wished they'd change the explicit scene. After reading the novel, it was this scene and when Hua Yong made Shaoyou beg for the drug that made me dislike him (But since he's being played by Huang Xing it's hard to hate him in the series, don't blame me😭)
Most that I've watched do not use doubles in sex scenes. And actors understand that it's their job, but I understand on your behalf, I used to find it awkward as well.
