She doesn’t have the spiritual power to maintain the illusion anymore
Yes, I know. I'm hoping for a plot development where her spiritual vein is healed, and she can fight again. Even if only temporarily.

Ok so am I the only one who wants to see Zuo Ye get a little screen time? I feel like it would be interesting to see Ming Yi revert to her male disguise as Ming Xian, and then watch how awkward Ming Xian and Ji Bo Zai interact knowing everything they went through together. Plus it would be comedy gold to see Zuo Ye perform without breaking character as he shamelessly throws himself on Hou Ming Hao, or vice versa.

Anyone getting Wang Xing Yue vibes from Quan Yi Lun or is it just me? Lol maybe it's the eyes??
OMG YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! I thought so too!!!! When I first saw Yi Lun, I was like "wow he looks like a younger and sexier version of Wang Xing Yue." Come to find out, Xing Yue is 23 and Yi Lun is 26 (so the joke's on me, lol).

Ok I just started watching this series, I'm at episode 9 and I HAVE to say this:

We all know that Hou Ming Hao is attractive, that's a given but... Quan Yi Lun is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!! Then there's Yu Cheng En, who is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!! In fact, most of the male cast in general are quite attractive. What are they feeding these men??? (I often joke to myself that they eat sexy fruits and vegetables, heh heh). All I know is that whenever Yi Lun or Cheng En come on screen, my lips get to smacking like I'm watching a candy commercial.

In other news, I love the chemistry between Ji Bo Zai and Ming Yi. My introduction to Lu Yu Xiao was in My Journey to You, and back then I thought her performance was fantastic (I love it when an actress has a balanced, mature approach to their performance). Then I saw her in Blossoms in Adversity, and it was another great performance—it kept her on my radar for sure. Now seeing her again in Love in the Clouds, her performance is chef's kiss. All I can say is, they need to keep her in main roles... she's clearly got all the attributes of a great FL.

Definately one of the most satisfying endings ever.

I am surprised she has not ended up drunk and drugged. She likes to party hard.
Exactly! I hope for her sake she finds love too. Someone that can support her through whatever phase she's going through. I'd like to see some character development on her end, rather than just being perceived as some kind of bitter nuisance for the entire show.

I feel sorry for Fang Lei to be completely obsessed over a man that could care less. And why is she always intoxicated? Is it some kind of coping mechanism? Is she still affected by her sister's death and could she be competing with her somehow? Then there's Lin Tao... the man who believes that because he didn't agree to a breakup, it isn't valid. Qiao Lin is being way too gentle with him, she should just be blunt and forthright about not wanting him anymore (even if it hurts his feelings) because he clearly isn't getting the message. What's his plan, to pester her nonstop until she gives in? Or to stalk her until he finds an opportunity to pounce? Not only is that incredibly selfish, but it's a HUGE red flag. IMO, these obsessed and jealous villain archetypes that c-dramas like to use to progress the plot are so extreme that it's unrealistic. Rather than drag on this type of behaviour for the rest of the show, we need to see these two (Fang Lei and Lin Tao) handled accordingly, in a way that teaches people how to properly deal with these types of situations and also gives us some closure that they're finally on a path towards healing.

Try watching Bon Appetite Your Majesty
What about Dating in the Kitchen? It'll give you the same warm and fuzzy feeling as Love's Ambition. Lusi is also the FL in that one.

Just finished ep20, I can't help myself but to get on here and write this. Seriously drama writers need to stop…
I agree that it was a strange way to progress the plot but then again, Haoming did say beforehand that he needed to impress Steve so their company can be added to the list of prospects. While I agree that showing PDA (especially on demand while they were being accused by the henchman) was an odd way to impress Steve, I let it slide because it was so sweet seeing them be forced to interact and be close to one another.

What about Nirvana in Fire? Blood of Youth? Till the End of the Moon? The Rise of Phoenixes? Love and Redemption?…
She didn't say she saw everything I listed, she said she's been watching Chinese dramas for years. Anyway, she gave me her final words about it and I said I concede. FYI, to concede means "surrender or yield." How did you interpret this as a challenge? You wanna fight someone who's walking away?

im seeing clips on weibo saying how fanglei failing at being the evil second lead 😅😅her green tea behaviour…
True. But the fact that everyone really despises Fang Lei means the actress must be doing something right. I looked at Zhong Ya Ting's biography and realized she's just starting out in her acting career, and IMO she has potential. I just hope she isn't stuck playing supporting roles of being the jealous villain for most of her career like what they've been doing to Wang Yi Fei.

I find it strange that you've been "watching Chinese dramas for years" but yet would say something like "I have never seen a Chinese drama with such an extraordinary story line." Are you telling me that out of all the c-dramas you've watched, modern or otherwise, you've truly never seen any "with such an extraordinary story line?" I like Love's Ambition too but I can't imagine describing the storyline as "extraordinary." This is why I started to list out noteworthy dramas, because I felt like SURELY, you've seen at least a few extraordinary c-dramas.

Am I the only one that noticed Lusi having to tap William on the shoulder to stop kissing her? 😂 He looked like a wild animal for a minute LOL. It's funny cause I remember in Love Better Than Immortality, Li Hong Yi couldn't stop kissing her either (I think he planted more than 20 kisses on her throughout the series). Also, in many of the promo shots for The Story of Pearl Girl, Liu Yu Ning couldn't stop planting his lips on her either. What is she made of? Honey???
