You seem to know so much, so I have to ask, do you know what these special episodes are based on? Like, are they entirely original, or did the novel writer helped develop the script? The trailer is full of scenes that aren't in any extras, I'm fascinated.

I felt so, too, when I was first watching, but on my re-watches I developed a very different view. Maybe reading the book helped: it gave a lot of insights into what the characters were feeling, which softened the arc to me. When I watch it now, I see how much and how deeply YSL still loves FX. How he lets him in despite still being so hurt, how he can't say no to him again and again, how he worries for him and is willing to take a beating for him; and then he worries again about FX getting into trouble for retaliating. We do need some very happy moments, though, and I hope the special episode will deliver them!

Feels like the best drama in the world to me at the moment, I'm still completely in awe. Everything about it is perfect; the book is also amazingly good. I wonder if there is a way to get updated about special episodes, dates, etc.; any channels to follow?

It's Gau Tu's neighbor alpha who had a crush on him and who helped him survive the pregnancy by being near and comforting him with his pheromones. Gau To rejected him later, so they stayed friends and Ma Heng got a girlfriend.

I couldn't disagree more. And I'm astonished that you continued watching this series if you felt like it had no character development, emotion, and growth.

The book is clear about it. Gau To moved to another exclusive country, and Wenglang visited it and met him there by accident.

Just re-watched the last episode: the first half actually has a pretty decent pacing. The issues start with the second half. Still, one rushed half of one episode is nothing when compared to the overall greatness of this series. It sucks that the ending couldn't flow better and that important arcs were treated like this, but it doesn't affect the re-watch value, imo, not at all.

Yeah, I'm dismayed by the amount of entitled comments. Criticizing the episode is fine, and I'm not happy with it either, but attacking the creators and the team? Ugh, I do hope they don't see most of it.

I didn't see such comments? Who can belittle his acting, he shines the brightest of all exactly because he managed to convey such different parts of his character perfectly. I was in awe of his skills even more I fell in love with Desire as a whole.

I actually prefer the ending of Desire to the ending of Revenged Love. Desire's was extremely rushed, but the essence of every chopped up scene was gold, while in Revenged Love, it was just pale and underwhelming, imo, with none of the previous feelings and chemistry.

Wow, couldn't disagree more. The acting and the chemistry are phenomenal here, and the writing is pretty good, too, except for some specific moments.
