Yeah I get what you’re saying, and the low self-esteem makes a lot of sense. I get where she’s coming from, but I also am not the biggest fan of the way she treated him - first with ditching him without a goodbye after almost having sex with him, and then the showing back up with the lies. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope it doesn’t drag out forever, though.

And why doesn’t the FL have reason to trust him? He was honest with her about faking the dating. On the beach he was completely straightforward and honest about his feelings and asked her on a date. He defended her from her ex. and has been nothing but good and real with her since the beginning. He has not given her any cause not to trust him, and she liked him too. I get that her situation is serious, but the ML hasn’t done anything to her to make her believe he’s not trustworthy. Just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️

I cannot imagine that this will have a happy ending…

Yeah I don’t see it the way you do. She liked him a lot in the first couple of episodes as well, agreed to go on a date with him when he asked and almost slept with him. It wasn’t a one-sided crush, it was mutual. The ML has not done anything to suggest that he’s not genuine.

At the start of the show they hadn’t been married for very long, it was an arranged marriage, and the ML was incredibly frustrated with the FL because she was being financially taken advantage of by her mother and didn’t set boundaries.

I have a feeling the angst is gonna be too much for my enjoyment, unfortunately. I hate lies, miscommunication and keeping secrets as a means to create / perpetuate romantic drama, but I guess I’m hoping that with only 14 episodes it won’t drag out. What I have a feeling I’ll struggle the most to understand is why wouldn’t she secretly tell the ML of her situation and trust that he’d go along with it and keep her secret? I mean he had them pretend that they were dating in order to mess with her ex, so it’s not so far-fetched to assume he’d be fine with her ruse. Obviously they like each other, so how would it be a stretch for her to trust that he would help her keep her position in the company? idgi. That way she wouldn’t be hurting him AND potentially gain a good ally for her agenda? That’s what I want to see.

Yeah. It’s hard for me to suspend my disbelief, given what they were doing juuuuust before the phone call. 🤷🏼‍♀️ At any rate, the show is good and I’m nervous about the upcoming angst 🫣

Halfway through episode 2 and a couple thoughts:1) I thought this was a romcom 🥺things went south very quickly and suddenly it’s becoming serious 😬2) I get that the FL got unexpected news about her mom, but really…? After the phone call you didn’t even have a THOUGHT to shout into the bathroom on your way out of the hotel room to let the ML know an emergency came up? I’m sorry, but even in the most dire circumstances I find it hard to believe that anyone in the FL’s position would completely not think to let the guy you’ve been making out with / almost having sex with know that an emergency came up and you had to leave asap. 🤦🏼‍♀️ 3) I hope the angst doesn’t drag too much. With only 14 episodes I hope that this won’t be a situation where we got all the fluff and happiness in the beginning only for the rest of the show to be a desert for the lead’s romance.

I’m scratching my head trying to make sense of the synopsis 🤔What exactly is this one about?

Yah I just need to watch the 2nd episode. I have been busy with work, my partner being back home and then we are going through Blossom 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m gonna have to watch episode 2 in bits and pieces I think. During my little pockets of free time 🙇🏼‍♀️

It’s confusing 😂I mean we had that 🔥 kiss in episode 1, I hear they also kiss again in episode 2… and now she’s gonna lie about being married in order to get a job, but how is anyone gonna believe it after those kisses? I’m confused 😂 Like is the ML really going to be expected to believe it? And also if he is going to believe it, then how can they develop a romance between the two without it feeling icky? 🤔 I have a lot of questions 🤣

I am not in a huuuge hurry because we won’t get the next episodes until next week 😂 But I am excited to! I’m a bit iffy on her lying to him though.
