Yeah I totally get that. I also think that she was scared living in that place all by herself with so much family conflict. I think it became more that a weird obsession with him, but more her needing SOMEONE to have her back in Jinxiu. She was missing her family, and she didn’t have any way to really keep herself safe without either getting having an heir or having the support of her spouse. It was also a huuuuuge deal for women living in that era. I know that she brought a lot of that on herself, but she was bright eyed and naive when she eloped with him in the first place.
on ep 33 and honestly knowing that we dont get a wedding in the end after going through all this upsets me
No wedding because his family is in mourning at the end of the show. Promises of one after the mourning period though 😊And I did see them do the whole drinking out of each other’s cup thing in the last ep, so I interpreted that as an unofficial wedding.

I was one of the few who never hated her either. Suige said himself that he sheltered her all her life and never let her experience the worst of humanity. She was young, naive, and impulsive, with a romanticized version of love in her mind. I would imagine that most teenage girls dream at some point of meeting Prince Charming and falling in love at first sight. I felt sad for her, mostly.
I anticipated this drama before it came out because I liked both leads but I had to wait patiently until it finished…
Yeah your complaints mirror mine a little. I didn’t care much about what was going on in the Jinxiu kingdom, so having scenes with the main leads cut to show is the crazies was a little frustrating at times. But o well, still a 10/10
